Web Designer/Developer

We are looking for a qualified intern with Basic coding/developer experience. The person for this position should have the ability to come up with unusual clever innovative ideas for websites. Have knowledge of hardware software including applications and programming, and must have an alternative way to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media. Must be highly knowledgeable of building web sites, have design techniques and be familiar with WordPress, Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop.

Responsible

• Use WordPress to manage website including content, plugins and coding
• Manage search engine optimization of content produced on website
• Management of small design projects
• Resizing images, basic HTML and CSS coding
• Maintenance of multiple sites and troubleshooting issues
• Help brainstorm creative ideas
• Assisting in some aspects of graphic design

Requirements

• Must possess excellent computer skills
• Understanding of HTML and CSS
• Advanced WordPress experience
• Familiar with BuddyPress
• Basic knowledge of the following: web development, SEO and social media
• Help brainstorm creative ideas
• Possess skills at initiating innovative ideas and judging correctly what will appeal to target audience

We’re looking for an intern to take on a variety of marketing, sales, and social media campaigns. This person should bring fresh new ideas and be able to take over the marketing and social media aspect of our growing website.

Responsibilities

• Help our online presence by managing social media sites
• Help create and post videos for social media
• Coordinates online marketing and advertising campaigns
• Establish media and communication strategies to continuously engage our online community
• Assist in the creation of signage, circulars, mock-ups, e-mail campaigns, on line promotion, etc.
• Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
• Prepare presentations
• Design branding materials
• Monitor all forms of media
• Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
• Increase company awareness both online and print
• Monitoring media coverage of company

 

Graphic Designer

We’re seeking a creative Graphic Designer (Intern) responsible for creating our customer branding, website look, feel and interface design.

Requirements

• Working towards a BA or certificate from a Fine Arts program/Graphic Design school
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge of Mac OS and software upgrades and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Must be a team player and flourish in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Open to constructive criticism and customer feedback

Responsibilities

• Assists in the design and development of layouts for marketing materials, using appealing graphics that are well organized
• Responsible to incorporate current design trends into each unique layout to produce an up-to-date style for custom ads
• Ability to exercise good judgment when interpreting instructions and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
• Utilize strong written skills and bring effective visual ideas from concept through to completion

Work can be performed both in-office and virtually. This is a full/part-time M-F internship with a minimum 12 weeks commitment. You must have your own computer/laptop. This position offers flexible hours 2-3 days per week. All meetings and reporting is done online or by email. There are deadlines but the hours in which you do the work are flexible.

Copy Editor

Intern to assist in proofreading/copy editing content for the website. We are looking for someone who is extremely detail-oriented, reliable, has excellent research skills and is meticulous about producing 100% error-free work. This internship is ideal for a journalism student looking for editorial and research experience 

Responsibilities

• Assist with editorial projects and provide support to the Editor
• Proofreading both hard and electronic files, basic copyediting, and writing of proposals and reports
• Assisting with or proofing of basic ads, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc.
• Work on special projects, as needed
• Fact check/edit all content before it is published – paying particular attention to spelling errors, grammatical errors, and other typos

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

Video Assistant

All About The Tea is looking for someone to help add videos to our website and YouTube channel. We are growing and are in need of some talented individuals that are interested in multimedia, in school or working toward a career in multimedia, or has recently graduated from school.

Responsibilities

• Assist with adding videos to AATT’s Youtube and Dailymotion Channels
• Writing descriptions for videos added
• Work on special projects, as needed

• Writing skills
