Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta kicks off with Kenya meeting with photographer extraordinaire Derek Blanks, to shoot her domestic violence PSA. In a talking head confessional, Kenya recounts an abusive relationship she had at the age of 16, with an older man that “stabbed,” her and almost ended her life. As Kenya and Derek go over the treatment for the campaign, Sheree joins the meeting. As a survivor of domestic violence, she wants to collab with Kenya on the project but is regulated to the role of intern. Kenya goes on to call Sheree a “troublemaker,” after she accepted Kenya’s invite to do the PSA. “Intern,” is clearly beneath Sheree, so she declines the position but offers to participate.

NeNe’s entertaining Marlo at her home. The women catch up on the latest going ons and NeNe fills her in on Kenya’s PSA. NeNe mentions Porsha will be there and Marlo suggests NeNe and Porsha make peace. NeNe has her doubts about reconciling with her former friend, who she feels never takes accountability for her actions. But Marlo will make it a Hamptons style tea party and NeNe never refuses a good “tea” party.

Cynthia is at home cooking when Noelle joins her. Cynthia’s new beau, Will phones. She wants to introduce Will to Noelle, but not until they become exclusive.

Over at the Old Lady Gang headquarters, Kandi and Todd are reaping the rewards of their hard work. Business is booming but the faces of the establishment — the old lady gang have some issues to get off their chest. Mama Joyce wants the hostess area moved because it’s too crowded. Aunts Bertha and Nora complain that the cooks are dirty and wear their pants hanging off their asses. Kandi and Todd take their complaints seriously and promise their concerns will be addressed once they hire a new General Manager.

Porsha and her boss Rickey Smiley of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show smell each other and shamelessly flirt in the office. She fills him in on her blind date debacle and tells the comedienne that she prefers funny men, while gazing into his eyes. Rickey implies that if Porsha didn’t work for Dish Nation, he would tap that ass date her. And Porsha giggles and flirts more with this wealthy man. The whole scene is giving me Harvey Weinstein creepy vibes and I want to file a report with their Human Resources department. After the hallway spectacle, Porsha cools off in a make up chair — at the same time, Marlo rings to extend an invite to her Hamptons tea party.

Kandi pays Sheree a visit to inquire if she spoke to her kids about the violence she’d experienced with their father. Then the conversation turns to NeNe slamming Sheree’s prison romance with Tyrone Gilliams —  Kandi reports that NeNe called Tyrone a “con artist.” “Really, Nene? You and Gregg both have mug shots,” Sheree says in a talking head confessional. Sheree reassures Kandi that her boyfriend would not move in with her directly after leaving jail. That’s technically true since he’ll likely spend time in a halfway house first.

It’s tea time — Cynthia, NeNe, and Porsha gather at Marlo’s beautiful home. Porsha and NeNe each share their sides of the rift. Porsha doesn’t understand why every discussion goes to a “petty place.” NeNe’s main issue is that Porsha doesn’t respond to her text messages. Porsha claims that she supported NeNe by tweeting about her Broadway show and again when she was on Dancing With the Stars.

NeNe on the other hand feels that sharing supportive tweets does not equal true friendship. “You could give two craps about this. I can completely see it your eyes. I can see it in your gestures and I can see it in your jokes,” Porsha snipes at NeNe. “There’s just nothing there. There’s just nothing there like that.” NeNe pretty much gives zero f*cks and rolls her eyes but pretends to move on. Marlo wants all of these b*tches out of her house.

Kenya’s domestic violence PSA is underway. She’s putting her best foot forward as a director but failing miserably. The reality diva shouts questions from the director’s chair, while trying to appear introspective, as each woman shares deep and personal experiences on abuse. Cynthia’s mom conveys gut-wrenching domestic violence incidents with her ex husband and there’s not a dry eye in the room with the exception of Kenya. Cynthia runs to comfort her mother.

The Bailey Agency founder also chimed in for the video, describing what it was like growing up in a home surrounded by domestic violence. NeNe spoke next — she endured abuse from her eldest son’s father. “I stayed in that relationship for a very long time and I ended up having a child in that relationship and then eventually I was able to get out,” Nene said. Kandi spoke and urged women to, “Leave before it’s too late.”

Sheree arrives to the shoot late after getting into a car accident. She was clearly shaken to the core but manages to shuffle through her segment.

Tune in next week when the ladies visit a voodoo witch and an elephant in the room is revealed.
