Paul Staehle and Karine Get Mugged With a Machete in the Amazon On ‘90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ (Video)
Paul Staehle drops his criminal history on his Brazilian love, Karine, on tonight’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.
His dramatic confession is only the beginning, because TLC cameras also capture Karine being robbed by a machete wielding man.
Paul and Karine argue about their dicey relationship before the couple separates.
“At this point, I don’t care what I encounter,” Paul says. “I could get bit by a snake. I could get in the dirty water and catch God knows what.”
Karine makes her way across a field, before being rushed by a mugger — forcing her to give up her phone.
“Whoa, we just got mugged! We just got mugged with a machete!” a cameraman yells.
Karine, shaken by the ordeal, sinks to the ground and cries.
“I just want to go home. I don’t want to be here anymore.”
Gunshots ring out, as producers push Karine to exit the scene.
“I want to leave. I’ve decided that I don’t want to be with Paul anymore,” Karine sobs.
Paul and Karine’s strange romance hangs in the balance, as 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days continues, tonight at 8 pm, ET, on TLC.
