The 50-year-old called the big reveal about her husband’s sexual orientation, “orchestrated and wrong.”

Tamra accused co-star, Vicki Gunvalson of plotting to “out a straight man” — while blasting her as a “homophobic,” bully. She also urges Bravo to fire Vicki for the alleged, “homophobic” set-up — against a straight man.
Tamra compares Vicki’s whisper of an ancient rumor to Phaedra Parks’ drugging/rape allegation against her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Kandi Burruss. Phaedra was fired by Bravo, after creating and spreading the damaging lie.
Tamra is likely betting that viewers forgot her own homophobic bashing — a verbal slip so nasty that she found it necessary to issue a formal apology to gay rights organization, GLAAD.
According to the longtime Housewives cast member, “It’s Not the 1920’s and being gay is not something to be ashamed of or mocked.” However, Tamra commented that Slade Smiley looked like a “homo,” on the reality show’s 2009 season finale.
“I am reaching out to GLAAD and the gay community today to apologize for the ignorant comment I made on last week’s episode,” Tamra wrote.
“The word I used was “homo” and not the word I was searching for and not a word I condone. I am highly embarrassed and ashamed. I have several gay friends and family members…”
As fans know, Tamra’s ex-bestie, Ricky Santana — who stood up with Tamra in her wedding to Eddie — amped this week’s gay chatter, claiming that he witnessed the Cut Fitness owner making out with another man.
After Tamra’s homophobic comment, in Season 5 — she was slammed by fans — and allegedly cozied up to Ricky (a gay man), as part of damage control to repair her tainted image.
Tamra and Ricky have since parted ways, but the mom of four offered an update on their relationship, during the episode.
What do you think of Tamra’s strategized comeback? Total truth — or contrived coverup?
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Monday nights, on Bravo.
