Did Kenya Moore marry for a bigger paycheck?

As AllAboutTheTea.com readers know, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed she tied the knot in a secret ceremony in June — much to the surprise to her employer.

Since Moore’s secret nuptials to Marc Daly, she has made it clear that her husband will not participate in the reality show that revived her career. Considering the unscripted Bravo docu-series centers around real-life situations, naturally Kenya’s stance has caused a major rift with the network.

The RHOA star is “still going back and forth with producers over her new relationship being on the show,” reports Radar.

“She’s trying to use her relationship as leverage to re-negotiate her existing contract,” the insider added. “The network feels as though she’s using this as a tactic to get her salary in the same ballpark as NeNe [Leakes].”

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak are earning big bucks for their season 10 return and Moore reportedly wants to level the (salary) playing field.

“The return of original Housewives, Nene and Kim [Zolciak] has her feeling like she is grossly underpaid for what she brings to show,” the insider concluded. “Prior to her ‘wedding’ she had nothing else compelling going on in her to warrant a substantial pay raise.”

Leakes, 49, will rake in a whopping $2 million for her RHOA return, while Zolciak, 39, will film as a friend.

As reportedKenya’s husband refuses to be filmed and objects to the portrayal of African-American men on the reality series and declines to be degraded. But Real Housewives of Atlanta producers have given the former Miss USA an ultimatum — chronicle your new marriage on the upcoming season or you’re fired.

Moore started filming while attending the Essence festival in early July.
