Pay Attention! #SouthernCharm Star Craig Conover Sued Over Careless Driving In Collision With Bicyclist!
Southern Charm star Craig Conover is in legal hot water over a collision with a bicyclist.
According to court documents, in April 2014, the reality star, who is originally from Delaware, was driving a 2007 Mercury Milan with Delaware plates, when he hit Corey Hamilton, who was traveling by bicycle. The accident occurred in downtown Charleston, while Craig was backing out of a driveway.
Now, the cyclist wants the Southern Charm star to pay up! Hamilton filed a lawsuit on April 27, 2017, in the Court of Common Pleas. Hamilton alleges that, “Defendant Conover owed the Plaintiff a duty of care to operate his vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.”
The cyclist claims he suffered injuries due to the accident that has caused, and may in the future cause the, “Plaintiff to incur one of more of the following elements of damage: a. physical pain; b. suffering; c. loss of enjoyment of life; and d. medical expenses,” according to the lawsuit.
Ironically, Hamilton refused treatment by EMS at the time of the collision, according to police record.
Hamilton is seeking actual and punitive damages in an amount to be determined and legal fees.
