    Good Lawd!

    Anyone else snowed in?

    • Why is this happening to us?

Snowed in here too. Actually had to go out earlier today during the storm and it wasn’t toooo bad. The main roads and highways were pretty decent considering we got about 10 inches. I’m planning on staying in tonight and probably tomorrow too- too icy for me to go walking around outside. Everything is freezing up. My front steps and walk were shoveled earlier and were nice and clean- I just went out to put some more salt down and the wind/snowdrifts added another 2-3 inches or so to my stairs! Wanted to salt it so in the morning it wouldn’t be so icy- I have a feeling it will need to be shoveled again in the morning. Lol. The wind is really blowing out there. I’m in NYC- where are you?

      • Oscar Moto

Sorry, lost power and internet, just fell asleep. I am near Boston. This weather is really awful!

        • Why is this happening to us?

Hope you weren’t without power for too long!

          • Oscar Moto

Luckily it came back in a few hours, but all weekend the weather was terrible. As soon as I dug myself out, I was buried in snow. After last nights storm I am more than ready for Spring!

          • Why is this happening to us?

Ugh…I hear ya! You guys definitely get more snow than we do. Good friends of ours live near Boston and last year a pipe froze in their house and damaged their entire kitchen! They had to redo the whole thing- ruined their stove and everything.
Yesterday we had a mix of freezing rain/sleet and snow. Everything was glazed in ice. Then it rained last night and washed some of it away, but it was such a mess all day yesterday. I salted the hell out of my steps and walkway because I was afraid I would break my neck if I had to go out! Today is sunny but soooo windy!

          • Oscar Moto

Ugh, what a mess! The ice is even worse than the snow at times. We got about two feet of snow throughout the weekend, and a little rain at the end, just enough to ice things over and make things difficult. We are in desperate need of a beach vacation!

          • Why is this happening to us?

Oh that stinks. I didn’t realize you guys got so much snow- we got almost a foot Thursday and then a couple of inches yesterday, but it’s not bad now. The roads and sidewalks are clear, just some snow in the grassy areas.
I think you should take a beach vacation! I could use one too- and a nice frozen drink on the beach! 🌴☀️😎🍹 A girl can dream… lol

      • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

I ♥ NY (and the entire NE seaboard) … but you couldn’t pay me to live in a climate like that (not unless I could have another home in a warm climate 4 or 5 mos out of the year). Since my ‘event’ … extreme cold literally hurts me.

        • Why is this happening to us?

I totally know what you mean…the cold hurts me too. I had to go out Thursday in the snowstorm and by the time I got home, I felt like I got run over by a truck. 🙁
I try not to go out in bad weather if I can help it, but I had no choice the other day.

          • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

I know you guys got hit again. Our brutally cold came early (like before the holidays) and I had a feeling it got it out of it’s system. It’s weird, normally Feb is the worst (sub zero weather), but we’re having an oddly balmy winter. But look at the good side, cold is great for killing all the bugs and viruses. I got a mosquito bite this weekend!

          • Why is this happening to us?

We still have a month left…anything could happen! lol
A mosquito in Feb? That’s weird. I had one in the house in December- have no idea where it came from. Where I live was actually the epicenter of West Nile Virus in the US- it was found literally in my backyard in the early 90’s I think. We came home from vacation and the CDC were all around in their suits taking samples…It was crazy! We lived right on the water at the time and had a big empty lot next to us. We always had tons of mosquitos living there- I guess because we were on the water and it was kind of marsh land behind us. It’s amazing that I never got it- maybe we did and we just didn’t know! Lol. Now I heard that there are all different strains. I guess there is always something…the new thing is Zika virus.

          • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Sounds like you guys need to built a few Purple Martin houses (or get some bats)! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/57d6a14191c5d8089e0ef9f2c4e381f65c7302da03338b413f0b324319747a8a.jpg

          • Why is this happening to us?

            Yes we do!
Unfortunately, they come around our neighborhood a couple of times a year and spray us with chemicals using trucks. They tell us ahead of time so we can turn off our AC’s and keep our windows closed…god only knows what the hell they are spraying us with! Another big thing is standing water- we have to make sure we don’t have any around or it becomes a breeding ground for them. I guess because I live in the city, we really don’t see many bats. I think there are some around, but they aren’t common. We do have lots of birds- the damn squirrels keep stealing their food, so we are always trying to find ways to feed them without feeding the squirrels…lol. They make some special feeders that deter squirrels. I’ll have to get a few more of those.

          • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Oh my … I’m not much of a naturalist, but insecticides freak me out. I remember as a kid they used to come around the neighborhoods in the heat of summer with those fog trucks and spray that smelly stuff. No wonder people are getting cancer in record numbers.

          • Why is this happening to us?

Yes, that’s exactly what they do with those trucks. It freaks me out too, especially that they are telling us to keep our windows closed and ACs off. You know it has to be pretty bad if they are warning us! I think everywhere we turn there are cancer causing things all around us. Unfortunately we can’t do anything about it but pray that we don’t get it. Scary indeed…

    • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

We’ve been snow-free here in STL for several years now … and it’s really starting to freak people out … but I’m diggin’ it!

    • It’s going to be a high of 76 today in Houston :/ winter? I think not.

      • Oscar Moto

Just got slammed with a foot of snow. Today it is freezing over here, but overall a pretty mild winter.

  • Bryan

This kind of weather calls for hot steaming bowls of soup!

  • sideof Sour Cream

the 3 judges that just ruled against our national interest are absolute GHOULS.
They are ugly as hell and just looking for a fight.

    • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

No worries love … of course it’s up to the SC, but they’re expected to rule in his favor. Trump is only doing what every other POTUS has done; just more evidence of sore loser syndrome.

      • sideof Sour Cream

I so appreciate your calm voice in times like this $nark
Good lord I HATE the libtards.

        • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

I know … my hubby and I have an arrangement. In order for me to enjoy my trash TV, I have to watch at least one of his nightly Fox News shows; Hannity, Carlson, or O’Reilly. Of course that means having to endure watching the liberal hacks spew their socialism and communistic rhetoric that you know they don’t even believe themselves. It literally raises my blood pressure watching them debate and DEFEND paid rioters smash dept store windows and burn down college campuses (with their cowardly faces covered). Why the left is hellbent on turning our country into a cesspool boggles the mind. I really can’t anymore, and I guess it’s just going to take an even bigger catastrophe to wake some people up. They won’t be satisfied until people are routinely blown up at Starbucks and sidewalk cafe’s from Des Moines, IA to Billings, MT. But the tragedy is, even when it happens, it will be because of Trump’a policies … *in through the nose, out through the mouth

          • sideof Sour Cream

My husband loves Tucker. It’s hard for me to watch though. I get all tense and anxious because of the stupid snowflakes as well. It freaks me out to know there are people that stupid that have been told they are smart. …Smart enough to go on national TV and debate a genius debater like Tucker Carlson.

            phew, heavy sigh!!
Thanks for talking me down today $nark 🙂

            xx00

      • KT

I don’t know Enigma. What worries me about that is if it goes to SCOTUS without Judge Gorsuch, then some people are predicting a 4/4 tie which means that the 9th circuit court’s ruling is upheld. Guess we’ll have to wait and see what the President does now.

        • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Definitely a toss up that could go either way, but when push comes to shove, I just can’t imagine any of them wanting the blood on their hands.

    • Yveline

Really? So all other presidents would overlook Saudi Arabia (most of the 9/11 hijackers came from), Pakistan (where we found Osama bin Laden) because of their personal concerns. If this was really about our safety, those countries would be at the type of the list.

      • sideof Sour Cream

        Your ignorance is appalling.

The seven countries that this ban confronts are countries with FAILED GOVERNMENTS. They are counties that have no ability to issue passports, state ID or any sort of birth certificate.

        WAKE UP.

        • Oscar Moto

          Isn’t it crazy?

          • sideof Sour Cream

            yes.
            and dangerous.

          • Oscar Moto

Absolutely, these people are elected to PROTECT AND SERVE US, the American citizens. As Trump stated in his inauguration speech, America First!

          • sideof Sour Cream

The 9th circuit judges were not elected. They were appointed. Most of them by obama.

          • Oscar Moto

Yes, I am aware. That is the problem. We elect a president, and most of the time, they do what is in THEIR best political interest, instead of the citizens.

          • sideof Sour Cream

Do Americans really believe Donald Trump is in this for his own aggrandizement?

As if he wasn’t famous/great/rich already???

          • Oscar Moto

My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately, almost half the country are blind sheep that are brainwashed by the media. With all the access to info, they would rather listen to what they are told, than use their brains. It is really sad.

          • sideof Sour Cream

They have no idea what hard work feels like.

            Thank god WE do. MAGA.

          • Oscar Moto

Somebody has to do it, right? Without people like us, they would actually have to do something, lol, imagine that.

          • sideof Sour Cream

They are the terrorists. Democrat = Terrorist.

          • Oscar Moto

            Truth

          • Yes, many of them do and it’s sad. I hope Trump and his advisors find a way to get it figured out so they can move forward in doing their job which is keep us all safe and a powerhouse nation. It’s getting ridiculous!

          • sideof Sour Cream

IKR? I’m having panic attacks over it :-/

          • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Yeah, it’s all ego; like he needs this shit at this point in his life. Lucky (for us) he’s a workaholic and over-achiever who wants to make a difference. Too many people are certifiably stupid today … drive-by low information morons who can’t even name who their state senator(s) are. IMO, voting age should be raised to 21 (there’s been no draft for years), and you must be a tax paying (IRS filing) citizen. to be granted the PRIVILEGE to vote.

          • sideof Sour Cream

Or at the very least be able to obtain a valid ID !!!!

I am so grateful for Trump. I’ve never understood why people liked Reagan–and I’m finally getting it.

          • KT

SOC…..did you know that out here in California Illegals can legally obtain a driver’s license???? Yep. And…the other day my husband and I did a little experiment. We went online to register to vote. You check boxes to say if you’re legal (which we checked), you check boxes if you have a drivers license (I checked no), you check a box if you have a social security number (I checked no), not once did I get stopped. If I would’ve continued it would’ve registered me to vote. It’s unbelievably easy to vote out here if you’re not a citizen. There is absolutely no I.D. required when you go to a polling place to cast your ballot.

          • sideof Sour Cream

I did not know that. o.m.g.

& Trump is right AGAIN .

        • Yveline

Yes, I served 20 years in the military so I could be ignorant of all this. What did you do for your country? Isn’t it great that I have the freedom to disagree with anyone including the president?

          • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Ah, post war syndrome … the final piece to the puzzle.

      • sideof Sour Cream

The U.S. State Department has more than doubled the refugee inflow from seven terror-prone countries since a Seattle judge’s decision to block President Donald Trump’s immigration reform, according to a report in The Washington Times.

Since the Feb. 3 ruling, 1,100 refugees have entered the United States, with 77 percent arriving from the seven terror-prone countries outlined on Trump’s executive order.

      • sideof Sour Cream

        yveline, just so ya know,
If there is another terrorist attack in the United States I am blaming you.

  • sideof Sour Cream

The 9th circuit court has a very high–over 70% reversal rate when it come to arguing before the supreme court.

  • Sunflower

So excited to see Jason Wu’s Fashion Week Collection later on today.
I had to fight mighty hard to get those tickets.
Tomorrow… will also attend Christian Siriano’s show…. always a fun collection!!

    • I’m jealous as all get out! I wish you could do a fashion post about your experience! How fun!!!

      • Sunflower

Well…. I also support the lesser known designers and labels like “Cinq A Sept”.
They had their showing yesterday… 2 hrs late… because of the snowy weather.
The collection part Bohemian… mixed with Paris Street Chique… was scrumptious!
        Loved it……
Wish I could buy every single piece… including the accessories!!

        • I think I would totally dork out if I went to a show, lol!

    • SassyMcAsspants

Nice! Christian cracked me up on PR. Have fun!

  • sideof Sour Cream

    The judgment
of the Ninth Circuit upholding the temporary restraining order (TRO)
against President Donald Trump’s recent executive order restricting
travel from seven terror-prone countries would have allowed one of the
9/11 hijackers to sue the government to come to, or stay in, the United
    States.

Under the court’s novel theory of legal standing, “injuries” to
public universities that result from foreign students and teachers not
being able to enter the country give the states standing to sue.

    • KT

Hi SOC!! Just having Saturday morning coffee and checking in on my AATT friends!!

Unfortunately for me, I live in that court’s district. It’s in San Francisco……enough said. And all while as we speak Iranians are burning our flag in the streets and shouting death to America. I’m sorry I’ve forgotten where in the world you are SOC, but it’s pretty crazy out here. I was telling my aunt from New Jersey about how far left it is. She is by no means a conservative republican but even she had no idea.

It’s always dicey to get too political, and I don’t mean to do that, but it’s gotten so that I’m embarrassed to say I’m from California with all this talk of sanctuary cities, becoming a sanctuary state, riots at Berkeley because of a speech (which is sooooo irionic considering Berkeley’s past)…..And I was born and raised here.

P.S. There is a phone number that you can call that is specifically for comments about that court’s ruling.

      • sideof Sour Cream

My husband was born in SF. Now we live in Minnesota–mpsl also a sanctuary city. I was born here, moved away and came back. Very liberal here too now. I’m ashamed of that.
And hey, I hate to get political as well–I have little anxiety attacks about it actually. But sometimes a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

        I’m with you 100%
        🙂

  • I just read that the Giudices completely paid off the $414,588 tax debt that was part of her sentence. I find that hard to believe but regardless it doesn’t give all those poor people they stole from their money back even if they did. I feel bad for those that will never get back their hard earned money.

    • Why is this happening to us?

What about the other $12.5 million? lol

  • Are y’all RHOA fans on #TeamKandi or #TeamPhaedra?

  • Yveline

You all do not seem to understand the problem with this ban. For it to be effective, it can not be a bandaid on a bullet hole, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan & Egypt should be on the list as well at the very list. Talk to me when the president’s business interests stop influencing his executive orders, he stops lining his cabinet with unqualified, unethical personnel and replaces all the diplomats he fired on the day he took office.

    • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Who’s unethical and why the fck should he keep any of Obama’s minions?

      • Yveline

Really? Educate yourself instead of expecting me to. Lying to the senators during the confirmation process is unethical. If you all have a reason to fight this man’s battles, have at it. But no one is dumb enough to not know what is happening right now. Obama’s diplomats, seriously? These are career diplomats who served under Bush and Obama. I am losing brain cells dealing with you all.

        • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Who lied? Receipts please. “Us all”? You know what they say about people who think everyone else is wrong?
