‘RHOBH’ Eden Sassoon’s Messy Divorce Reveals MAJOR Financial Woes!

Posted on Jan 24 2017 - 9:09am by BeachSpin

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills part-timer, Eden Sassoon, is living the life as a luxe reality 90210-er, but according to her divorce settlement, her income does not match her act.

Tomer DeVito, 41, filed for divorce from Sassoon, 43, in 2008, and in a revealing twist, refused to pay any of his soon-to-be ex-wife’s credit card debts.

According to court documents, Eden listed two credit cards opened with Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as others from Macy’s Visa, Washington Mutual, J. Crew, Neiman Marcus, Wells Fargo and Nordstrom. DeVito refused to pay for his wife’s shopping habit, and the couple eventually agreed to each side paying their own debts. Eden was left holding the much more substantial burden.

They both claimed that DeVito made $8,300 a month, and Eden earned $3,500. The couple divided their joint property and sold their home — splitting the profit. They both kept their personal businesses. Eden owns and operates EDEN by Eden Sassoon Pilates, in Beverly Hills.

The couple was married 4 years, and shares custody of their two children, Olivia, 11 and Tyler, 10.

Catch Eden’s act on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.

How is it she only makes $3,500 a month? That is $42,000 a year. Secretaries make more money that that.

    • Wishmich

That’s probably after she lists her expenses. You know how those people list $5000 a month for dry cleaning; $3000 a month for parking; $13,000 a month for spas. 🙂

      • Darris

Yup. That 3500 is probably money she had left over to do whatever she wanted with and they always exaggerate their expensive…you always high ball in a divorce to get as much money as possible. Not to mention this was 9 years ago and she probably makes more money now I would think.

  • Marsbars09

Wait a minute. Eden and her ex were earning beer money while living a champagne lifestyle? How did they live so extravagantly or did they not live that way?

    • Snarky gal

Didn’t she inherit a ton from her dads eatste ? If so I’m sure she has investments and such that generate non earned income

  • Oh Snarky Me

OK, does this chick not have enough money for a full length mirror? OMG her chest looks horrible!!

  • Mental Iceberg 🏇

Wait. Are those implant scars? Yikes!

    • Why is this happening to us?

      Ugh….not a good look!

  • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

It’s rather ironic that she’s got the chest of the boys she’s fond of blowing.

    • Birdie

      This is snark-tastic!! 😍 😍 😍 TRUTH!!

      • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Thanks doll … it makes no sense right?

  • Jackie

I thought it was strange that this article is the first I’m hearing that she has children. Not to mention an ex husband and why haven’t we witnessed her with them or seen her home and everyday life. She is broke as I joke is my guess

  • Sugar in my tank

This article specifies her assets from 9 years ago and if they listed tax returns etc. then it may be even 10 so this makes no sense. This does not disclose her wealth additionally her inheritance would not be a part of her divorce settlement. Hopefully, she will never mention or bring those kids on the show. This is why I take issue with the media because why would you disclose the names and ages of minors? Eden did not mention it on television and if she did, they are not shown. I really hope they pass a law forbidding minors names, ages and photos of celebs’ kids being taken and used..

    • I think I read on her twitter she is introducing her kid or kids tonight.

      • Sugar in my tank

Oh there you go, then my point will stand for other children and not hers but of celebrities or athletes/whose faces are splattered everywhere. I am an advocate for kids that’s all.

        • Why is this happening to us?

I agree, Sugar. I don’t think these parents think before they have these kids all over tv, social media, etc. It’s not even just celebs, but I have friends who plaster their FB with all personal info about their kids, their school, etc. I am not a parent, but I wouldn’t do that with my kids. There is something to be said about maintaining some type of privacy. I wonder if these kids will be upset when they get older that their parents put embarrassing pics of them online for the world to see. Heck, I don’t even put my own personal info out there. It seems like nothing is sacred anymore.

          • Sugar in my tank

Unfortunately they are growing up in the world of social media so they don’t know differently. I believe Halle Berry and several others went to Congress to testify to try to get a bill passed. She was saying that their kids become targets for kidnapping especially overseas when they travel. It’s just sad. I am happy some of these fathers keep their kids off these shows. Unfortunately, I am hearing Eden may be the next nut job that may be exposing her kids to the limelight.

          • Why is this happening to us?

I guess with this age of social media they really don’t know any different. It’s sad, really. I’m glad someone is advocating for the children. I would imagine it would make them much easier targets for kidnappings, especially if they are posting where they are vacationing, etc. Look what happened to Kim K when she got robbed in Paris…they knew exactly where she was and what kind of jewelry she had on. I guess some people really don’t think about what they are doing when posting online and the possible consequences it could have. It’s kind of scary that someone could just google you and find your photo, address, phone number, relatives, etc.
I won’t even post vacation photos online until after I come back from my trip. I don’t need everyone knowing when my house will be empty!

          • Sugar in my tank

Excellent observation. The adults supposed to be the moral compass for their kids. Well at least have more common sense, well more responsible..

          • Why is this happening to us?

            They’re supposed to be!

          • Sugar in my tank

That’s right because your friend will drive your ass to the airport while the other ones are robbing you.

          • Why is this happening to us?

Exactly! I don’t trust anyone… Most of my FB friends are actual “friends”, but I do have many acquaintances on there and people I haven’t seen or spoken to in over 20 years. How do I know they won’t come rob my house while I’m gone? I don’t really know them anymore- they are technically strangers.
When I was much younger, I had an ex who became a stalker. He stalked me for about a year. I had him arrested and I had to get an order of protection because of certain things he did. This was all before the internet and social media, etc. As soon as I made a FB account (maybe within a month or two), he sent me a friend request and a private message. This was 12 years after he stalked me! He found me through a couple of mutual friends on FB. This is why I don’t trust any of these things…NOTHING is private. Anything you put out on the internet is out there forever and can be accessed anytime. He can now get my new address, etc. However, the internet works both ways and I have his too (just in case I ever need it)! Bloop! 😉

          • Contessa Bel Raven

I am very particular about what I post on FB and my FB friends are ppl I know or acquaintances. I don’t even like to sign in to games with my FB account. My kids think nothing off posting everything including their phone numbers (both are in their early 20’s). I rarely go on FB anymore (too easy to lose a couple hours without you realizing so much time has passed) though I do go on to find out what’s going on with my kids if I haven’t heard from them in awhile lol.

          • Why is this happening to us?

I’m the same way. I guess it’s because we are of a different generation where it wasn’t easy to find everyone all the time and there was no need to have constant communication. I miss those days of going out shopping or wherever and no one was able to call me! Lol. I actually hate having a phone with me all the time. Oftentimes, if I am busy, I won’t answer it. I guess the kids today have grown up with this lifestyle, so it’s natural for them. Instead of going out and socializing with their friends in person, they do it online. I’m just glad no video cameras or cell phones were around when I was younger and doing stupid things! There is no documentation of my adolescence and I am glad it’s that way! Lol

          • BetteDavisEyez1

Yes!! I am so glad there are no blackmail pics or videos of me. LOL!!

          • Why is this happening to us?

            Right? Lol

          • Contessa Bel Raven

I’m just glad they weren’t around for my adult partying days. Lol

          • Why is this happening to us?

Same here! Lol. My 20’s especially!

          • Sugar in my tank

Wow, thanks for sharing..we got your back in here…if for nothing, we can hire Porkchop for our muscle

          • Why is this happening to us?

Aww thanks…That was a long time ago, but it was something that really affected my subsequent relationships. I wasnt serious with anyone for many years after that because my trust with men was broken. I’m married and it’s better now, but it took a really long time for me to get over it. It’s always in the back of my mind.
All the stuff with Kenya & Matt really made it surface
Porkchop will kick his ass for sure!

          • BetteDavisEyez1

That is so twisted. I hope & pray that he stays far, far away from you. No one should have to deal with that.

          • Why is this happening to us?

Thank you. It really spooked me when he sent me a friend request and message on FB so many years later….creepy as hell! I immediately blocked his ass and did not respond. I saved the message just in case I ever need to get another OOP.
It turns out he moved down to FL, so he lives there now and isn’t in NY anymore (thank god). It was seriously hellish going through that- I had all kinds of shit happen within that year after breaking up. Besides just the incessant calls, he even tampered with my car several times (flattened all my tires a few times) and broke into my car (smashed my windows) and stole my backpack. It took all that to just get the order of protection and even then, they only gave it to me for 6 months and wouldn’t extend it because he didn’t violate it during that time. As soon as it expired, I saw him at a bar where I hung out. I think nowadays, they take stalking much more seriously than back then. Back then, they wouldn’t give you one unless the person already did something to you. Even with all the shit he did, they were only able to charge him with aggravated harassment- not even for breaking into my car because there was no evidence.

          • Sugar in my tank

I take domestic violence very serious along with drug abuse that’s why I have decided to move away from the drug discussions and abhor violence and bullies. Now if you have to defend yourself, I’ll kick ass in a minute but that’s the last resort or next to last resort.

          • Why is this happening to us?

I concur. I don’t usually get myself involved in those discussions either because they are very personal for me and bring up lots of bad memories. Oftentimes, commenters aren’t mindful of those of us who have lived through it. It’s terrible…

          • Sugar in my tank

            Absolutely.

          • BetteDavisEyez1

I really respect Halle Berry & Selma Hayek for that. I mean paparazzi were showing up at HB’s daughter school in the morning & snapping pics of her dropping the little girl off.
Then they had the nerve to post pics of her losing it as if she was in the wrong. SMDH

          • Sugar in my tank

            Disgusting..

    • Birdie

Bravo announced the names of her children way back in November.

      • Sugar in my tank

My point remains the same for all children. If her kids come on the show, then all is well but until then, any responsible entity should want to respect that. But clearly in the world of reality tv and fans, nothing seems to be off limits.

    • RHONJ Fan

You do realize that the woman (Eden) you’re cheerleading for allows her “minor” kids to use Twitter and tweet Housewives. It’s weird. And Bravo announced her kids so why not take issue with Eden for allowing the media to publish her kids names?

      • Sugar in my tank

Since you don’t know the difference between defending children or being a cheerleader, I will explain to you s.l.o.w.l.y. her kids are minors and not on the show. Their names and ages should “NOT” be splattered on this site, at all. Now, I stand by my comment. Now if you don’t like it, Give me a O, Give me a W, Give me an E, Give me two LL’s what does it spell. Oh, Well. Now move on..

  • kikid26

Can’t stand these new RHOBH additions. I thought Dorit was bad, Eden is worse! Why is she putting her nose so far into Kyle and Kim’s business??? If I were Kyle I would have either politely changed the subject or just told Eden to STFU! Just because she was an addict doesn’t give her carte blanche to evaluate the sobriety of everyone else. Same with Loose Lips Lisa. Who is she to say Kim isn’t totally sober?? Mind your own damn business and get your own storyline!

    • I hated Eden even before she debut on BH because of her desperate tweets about “Sason Squad” prior to even making a debut! The thirst is real with that one.
Dorit though is definitely growing on me. She is at least kind of funny, has hosted 2 extravagant parties already and is creating her own fires to put out without using old story lines or other people’s illness. I also liked she put on her big girl panties and called Rinna and Eileen to clear up and apologize for her behavior at game night which seemed to have taken ED by surprise. AND managed to make Erika somewhat animated with the shock of that “gift” haha. I will take Dorit and her many accents over Rinna and Eileen at this point.

  • Birdie

Eden is a POSER–from head to toe. She is so thirsty nothing would surprise me.

  • Ronnie

Eden, get lost! Allow Kim to breathe! Good God!
