‘My Daughter Comes First’ Bethenny Frankel Slammed For Not Attending Women’s March In DC!

Posted on Jan 24 2017 - 11:59am by Terri L. Austin

Bethenny Frankel has kept a pretty low profile during the election cycle, but that silence stopped during Donald Trump’s inauguration.

While Carol Radziwill has been vocal in her continuing support for Hillary and her dislike of Trump, Bethenny was late getting into the fray.

She tweeted, “I think @realDonaldTrump the president cares about ratings more than @Andy the tv producer”

Then she went on to mock Kellyanne Conway’s outfit, saying she couldn’t pull off the look.

Bethenny received backlash from Trump supporters. One wrote, “Stop! What has this woman ever done to you? Having money doesn’t make you judge/ jury. Go back to reality tv.” And another said, “I can afford your alcohol! You lost my business Trump is my President!”

Others criticized Bethenny for not taking part in the women’s march on Washington, but Bethenny had other priorities—her daughter Bryn. One fan said it, “would have been a great outing & learning opportunity for your daughter.”

But other Housewives were there to march.

So, do you think Bethenny should be more or less vocal about her political leanings? And should she have gone to the march?

So let me get this straight, women who embarrass, humiliate, gossip, and throw glasses at each other are marching for SUPPORTING WOMEN?!??! Do any of these ignorant b*tches know anything about the real world and the people in it?? Do they know how to act with dignity or treat others with respect? Yet another reason not to watch them or buy their crappy products.

  • the underground train

Why would any woman want Bethenny at a march that supports women? She does not exactly exemplify someone who supports other women IMHO.

  • Ravello

I have no idea why Bethenny or any one else would be “marching”. And there is no need to make excuses.

  • Yolie

Way to go Bethenny. Feminism is an evil agenda, whose intent is to destroy the family unit, destabilize U.S. society, and destroy America as part of achieving World Government. So many people today are afraid to preach against the evils of feminism. In order to build a New World Order, the Old World must be destroyed first. This means Christianity must go. The traditional family must go. National patriotism must go. Parental authority must go. Individuality must go. National borders and sovereignty must go. Morality and family values must go.

  • Why is this happening to us?

I have to wonder if most of these celebs are marching because they think that’s what they are supposed to do. Clearly cameras were there for Carole & Dorinda.
Carole really needs to stop with the Hillary nonsense and get over the fact that she didn’t win. Trump is the president whether anyone likes it or not- nothing is going to change that.
Who cares whether Bethenny marched or not? Lol

    • Ravello

Some celebs are really in their own elite little bubble and think we little people are waiting for their opinions. I know I’m not and if certain celebs endorse someone or something my antenna will go up. I think many more fear pressure to be politically correct.
I laughed last week when I read Dorinda was marching.

      • Why is this happening to us?

You’re so right about political correctness. They really do think we are all waiting for their opinions. I think these celebs should just keep their mouths shut and not get involved with politics because they are going to lose fans no matter which side they take. Best to stay neutral imo.
I didn’t know Dorinda was marching. I actually liked her up until I found out that she is a supporter of The Felon- Teresa Giudice. Since then, I’ve kind of lost respect for her…

        • justanothermary

Real celebs, actors and such, have a really hard time coming out as anything but very liberal since that is the climate in Hollywood and some actors have said that letting it be known that they are conservative has cost them jobs. What I want to know is why does anyone care what they think? What makes their opinions more valid than anyone else’s?

          • Why is this happening to us?

            That’s so true.
Idk why anyone cares what they think. I sure don’t. Their opinions are certainly not more valid that anyone else’s- especially Bethenny’s! I have friends who are die hard Republicans and others who are extreme Liberals and everywhere in between (I’m somewhere in the middle and vote depending on the issue). I don’t let politics influence my personal relationships like some do.

          • Sugar in my tank

Unfortunately, they have the ear of the youth and millions of followers via social media. They are also human beings who happen to be celebrities and just because they are an athlete or an entertainer, it’s not fair to quell their voice if they have something to say. We don’t have to listen or even accept their point of view but they are just as entitled to have one as much as you or I. I like your post though..

          • Why is this happening to us?

Oh I think they are entitled to voice their support just like everyone else, I just don’t know if it’s smart from a business standpoint because either way they are going to lose fans. If they want to be loud and proud- more power to them! Lol
I also don’t think it’s fair to expect people to be there and then badger them about why they weren’t. That’s not cool, imo. I’m certainly not a Bethenny fan by any means, but on this, I don’t think she needs to justify her decision to anyone.

          • Sugar in my tank

Agreed. She should have just said she didn’t want to go. Her choices are just that, hers.

          • Why is this happening to us?

Exactly. I guess this is the downside of posting every little thing on social media…lol…people know when you don’t attend something because if you did, you would have posted it all over SM!

          • Perturbed

I’m somewhere in the middle too. What ticks me off is the way the PC bullies have been castigating anyone accepting of the new administration. It’s reminiscent of McCarthyism, but in reverse. I can’t stand Barfenny, but who is anyone to tell her to march? I’m glad it was successful, but I wonder how many marchers knew that 1 of the organizers is a proponent of Sharia Law? That tainted the whole thing for me, but I’m not about to attack anyone who DID march.

          • Why is this happening to us?

I feel the same way you do. I don’t think anyone should ostracize anyone for their political views. I respect the fact that we are all different and are all entitled to our own opinions. People shouldn’t end friendships over it- I actually know lots of people who cut lots of friends from their FB because of their political views. I’m so sick of hearing about it and talking about it, which is why I come here to get away from the political drama. I don’t even go on FB anymore because of it. Sadly, it doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. If anything, it appears to be getting worse.
PS- I didn’t hear that about the march organizers- I dont know anything about the women who arranged the whole thing.

          • Perturbed

So agree with you! I’m even tired of the nightly talk shows, which are supposed to be FUNNY. JKimmel & JFallon keep it lighthearted enough, but Colbert & Seth Meyers have turned their shows into lectures against Trump on a DAILY basis! I’m just sick of hearing about it, and find it insulting that talk show hosts are telling people what to think (as if the viewers are too dumb) – SOO ANNOYING! I just don’t watch them anymore! Oh, and people like Carole Radziwill, who insults & curses at anyone on Twitter who disagrees with her (Andy Cohen too, to a lesser extent). There’s almost a militancy about some people – frightening!

Re: The Womens March, 1 co-chair, Linda Sarsour, actually supports Sharia Law, which is like the opposite of feminism, and makes no sense to be championed at a Women’s Rights march! She distributed signs depicting a woman wearing an American flag as a hijab, which I found alarming to say the least. If you’re interested, just Google her – very controversial figure.

          • Why is this happening to us?

I know exactly what you mean about the talk shows. Even the major networks are biased. I feel like the media is fueling it too, which is why I can’t stand watching the news anymore. Ugh- can’t stand Carole Radziwill and felt that way even before the election, so it’s only making me care for her even less- the same goes for Andy too. Militancy is the perfect word to describe some of these people and that goes for both sides of the spectrum. It is frightening for sure.
We’ll just hang out here and snark about reality shows…lol. Way more interesting, imo!
I will take a look and google Linda S. I am surprised any woman would support Sharia Law, and even more surprised that the same woman would be a March organizer. Some of these people don’t even know what they support- they are just full of hot air! Ugh. I live in NYC, so there is always a protest about something…the police, black lives matter, occupy Wall Street, Trump, etc. People need to get a life!

          • Perturbed

I’m 10 miles outside of the city in NJ, so I know what you mean – every day there’s a protest for something! Lol, guess it doesn’t faze us! If you really want unbiased news, watch BBC news because they have no dog in this race haha! Have a good night, Why! 😊🙋🏼

          • Why is this happening to us?

            Oh cool! You’re a neighbor! 🙂
You’re right…it doesn’t faze us- we are so used to it.
I’ll have to check out BBC news- lol- sounds perfect!

          • BetteDavisEyez1

Same here. I actually had friends that stopped speaking to one another over these elections.
Now while I think politics are important, it should never get to that point. They were really going at one another on FB. It was crazy.

          • Why is this happening to us?

Same thing happened with my friends… I just typed the same thing to Perturbed. Some of them actually go on there to instigate with the sole purpose of pissing people off! I guess some people really have no life. People really need to get a f’ing grip. Can’t always have it your way. There have been plenty of presidents over the years that I haven’t been fond of- you wait 4 years and you go vote again! That’s the way the cookie crumbles. In the case of this election, I wasn’t thrilled with either choice, so either one for me would have had their negatives.

          • BetteDavisEyez1

So true. The night of the elections was a sore winner type situation. Friends & even family members were saying all sorts of twisted shyt.
How do you expect everyone to feel included when you go out of your way to throw it up in everyone else’s face that YOUR candidate won?!? He is all of our President. Not just the people that voted for him. SMDH

          • Why is this happening to us?

Exactly. I don’t know why so many people want him to fail. If he fails, we ALL fail!

      • Bryan

Sometimes I think a good deal of these celebs do it because they feel its some new fad to jump on just to get the public at large to like them, I sometimes feel they really don’t care about issues at all.

        • Why is this happening to us?

That’s kind of what I was trying to say…you said it way better than I did! Lol 🙂

          • Bryan

Thanks, but you did fine too!

          • Why is this happening to us?

            Thanks Toots! 😘

          • Bryan

            Anytime

        • HankyPanky

          Well said Bryan, free publicity

          • Bryan

            Thank you!

  • AnEnigmaWrappedIn$nark

Every other ungrateful D-lister has bashed the man who put them into the mainstream TV conscious by appearing on Celebrity Apprentice; Barfenny is no different. So now (like Kenya and Landfill) she’s dead to me too.

  • Bryan

I don’t think any woman should have been obligated to march, and I am all for the march, but like many things, it should be a choice and if putting ones family first is not a good enough reason to pass on the march, well that’s too bad they can get over it., just like I told my Trump voting friends who do not like some of the stuff I have posted in the last few days, stuff that I am getting on FB and then share. I had to remind some of them that during our poker nights, I put up with their not very nice comments about President Obama and his Wife and their lack of respect for him in general, that is there opinion and that fine, it’s not mine., So I do not want to hear how they do not like the post about the gay dance party in front of Daddy Spence’s house or the Cake Snafu, to name a few things. If I want to make light of the new Commander and Chief I can, its my right I am a registered voter , I pay taxes, I pay my bills and I follow the laws of the land. so they have been told to have a few seat and shut up.

    • BetteDavisEyez1

Excellent point. I do not understand how thin skinned everyone has become. It is almost like they are taking on his personality.
If they can’t take the criticism, it is going to be a long 4 yrs. LOL!!

      • Bryan

Thanks, Trump needs to stay off social media and not worry about SNL or anyone else, he needs focus of what is best for this country strap some on!.

        • BetteDavisEyez1

I find it crazy that he can not ignore criticism. Anything he perceives as a slight, he is compelled to respond. LOL!!

          • Bryan

            He has to stop that

          • shayvoe

He is a true narcissist and thin skinned, as such, he is compelled to comment. He will never let anything go…it’s who he is at his core. I actually think he may do good things, but I can’t get past his personality.

          • BetteDavisEyez1

I find that the people that are the quickest to criticize others usually can not tolerate when it is done to them.

          • shayvoe

Right! He always has to be the best, so never wants to be criticized. He sure picked the wrong job, as thin skinned as he is. He needs to get off twitter and get to the business of our country.

          • BetteDavisEyez1

Exactly. He is now in a position where he will be judged everyday for the next 4 years.
Comedians are going to have a field day. LOL!!

  • MarcoPolo

Good for Bethenny–she probably saved herself many sleepless nights—her child would have likely had screaming nightmares after seeing this spectacle.

  • Sugar in my tank

I like the part about his supporters saying they are not buying her alcohol. Puhleeze, Bethenasty is self-serving because while she didn’t have to attend the March, spending time with her daughter was a piss poor excuse not to attend when richer/more famous celebrities than her was there with their kids marching in the thick of everything. She should have just said she didn’t want to go or lie and say she was ill. She wasn’t missed..

  • T Loves Martinis

Radziwill looks hideous. What did she do to her face? Caps are not your friend Horsie.

    • sunkissed748

      Horsie! 🙂

  • BetteDavisEyez1

I bet Beth would have showed up if they allowed her to have a SG booth.

  • Glooba!

Agreed with most of you. Why would anyone want this woman at the march? If anything, she’d make it all about herself.

    • Heckleberry

She’d have just used it as an opportunity to hawk her Skinny Girl crap.

  • sunkissed748

Oh wait, now I get it. BFrankelstein took a break from making unecessary announcements for 2 weeks so she’s catching up. No one in the real world cares what you do or who you vote for wench.

  • Bethenny just started her charity B Strong — which is focused on helping and supporting women in crisis.

From a business perspective, I think it would have been smart to attend and show her support of women’s rights etc.

And, let’s “B Real” — she has traveled many times for NO good reason, without regard for the time lost with her child. This woman constantly uses her child in her inane social media wars and reality TV meltdowns.

I suspect that Bethenny didn’t want to be bothered attending.

    • MicheleJss

As a single Mom myself who had to share my daughter with her Dad, I say BS. You don’t give up time with your child for something you want to do. I never ever turned up a time with my Daughter to do something I wanted to do.

      • delaney

But you aren’t the selfish monster that bitchenny has shown herself to be.

        • MicheleJss

Well it appears she is showing maybe you are wrong about her and are judging from something you hear from gossip and some stupid TV show. Wow chill, you don’t know her personally. Man people are ugly over crap that doesn’t even affect them. That crap is just too weird for me.

          • delaney

I’m truly sorry to offend you. I honestly didn’t mean to. Just being snarky. My view is: subtract the show and gossip and still the woman disturbs my delicate sensibilities. 🙂Her lawsuits, denigrating her ex in ugly ways in the press when there’s a child involved, crappy products, throwing drinks at people in public places is quite enough.
I understand there’s all kinds of opinions besides my own and I try to respect everyone’s.

  • delaney

Celebrity or not it takes guts to stand up and show up for your beliefs.
Denigrate and belittle the March all you want but it was spectacular. So many people the world over coming together for a common cause. Record breaking. History making. Spectacular! Celebrities had little to do with it. Overwhelmingly grassroots. Everyday people.

  • Chickpea16

Agree with Bethenny. She doesn’t have every weekend to spend with Brynn and has her priorities straight.

  • SME-PasadenaPussInBoots

As much as I can’t stand Bethany I have no issues with her not attending.

  • dj j

Time with her daughter wouldve been very productive and educational if she wouldve tsken her daughter to the event like many other mothers did. Bonding with other women and learning that we are “Stronger Together”

    • tsc

Many other mommies and daddies took their kids….little kids to the march.

    • MicheleJss

Do you realize how many people would be on her case for forcing her child to go?? I have heard so many negative things about grownups who drug their children with them. That’s like forcing your kid to go to church. When she is old enough to make up her own mind of what she wants to march for, then she can. I doubt Brynn’s Dad would of wanted her to do that either.

  • T Loves Martinis
  • tsc

brother and his wife went to the march in DC and I stayed in NYC and witness the largest show of unity that I have ever seen in my life and I am a activist that has and will continue to protest policies that I believe will hurt people in the streets, in the courts, in DC or NY — and I really don’t care who the president is if he is doing the wrong thing.

Bethenny is suddenly for “empowering women” as she has partnered with Dress for Success. And B could not roll out of bed and march for success right here in her own back yard?!?! She did not have to go to DC, there were 400,000 women, men and children marching right here at home! Ongoing activism is hard work. Marching in one march is not. Her “time with my daughter” theme is getting old….and unbelievable.

Most of the cities that have “Housewives” also held marches. I would like to know which of these housewives marched in DC or at home in their own backyards.
