‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Star Savannah Chrisley Sustains Serious Injuries In Car Crash

Scary news in the world of USA Newtwork’s Chrisley Knows Best reality series.

Savannah Chrisley, daughter to patriarch, Todd Chrisley, was in a serious auto accident earlier this week that caused several injuries, including a broken vertebra.

Savannah took to Instagram let fans know what happened and how she’s doing. Savanah thanks God for providing difficult days because she, “began straying away from Him and His word.” She continued,

“I got in a car accident early Monday morning because my floor mat had gotten stuck behind my pedals so I looked down for a brief second to try and get it out of the way and then I realized that I was headed straight towards the guardrails….I tried to over correct but it didn’t help. As soon as I hit the guardrail my airbags came out and because of the airbags and seat belt the injuries weren’t near as bad as they could have been. But what I do remember is going in and out of consciousness screaming for help and cars just continued to pass. It felt like I had been laying there for at least twenty minutes begging for help. And then a man stopped and ran over to me and got the police my way…so thank you to the amazing man that stopped and helped me as everyone else was passing. I have no idea who you are but thank you…I could never repay you for your act of kindness.”

I can truly say that I now FULLY understand the meaning of this quote…the past couple of days have been some of the toughest days for me. And I truly think that God has made them so difficult because I began straying away from Him and His word…I got in a car accident early Monday morning because my floor mat had gotten stuck behind my pedals so I looked down for a brief second to try and get it out of the way and then I realized that I was headed straight towards the guardrails….I tried to over correct but it didn't help. As soon as I hit the guardrail my airbags came out and because of the airbags and seatbelt the injuries weren't near as bad as they could have been. I have no idea who you are but thank you…I could never repay you for your act of kindness. Also…to all of you hurtful people that are saying that I deserved it and got what was coming for me…you need Jesus and I'll help by praying for you. And to all of those who are being supportive…I thank you very much. It means the world. The next month or so I will be recovering from a broken vertebrae which has caused numbness in my hands and fingers and pain all throughout my neck, back, and shoulders. While recovering physically I'm going to take time to recover spiritually and mentally as well. I want to be the best version of myself possible and that will happen. We all make mistakes…all that matters is how we learn and grow from them. I truly believe that God has used this situation to open my eyes to what is truly important in life and to put my focus back on Him in order to live the right life and be unbelievably happy. So right now I just want to say thank you again…love you all ❤️ -SFC-

But don’t think this accident has broken her spirit. Savanah has a message for some “hurtful people” and also describes how she will be spending her time recovering.

“Also…to all of you hurtful people that are saying that I deserved it and got what was coming for me…you need Jesus and I’ll help by praying for you. While recovering physically I’m going to take time to recover spiritually and mentally as well. I want to be the best version of myself possible and that will happen.”

Savanah ends her post by saying God used this situation to open her eyes. Todd Chrisley released a statement to E! News about his daughter’s “terrifying ordeal.”

“It’s the worst feeling in the world to get a call late at night while sleeping to hear on the other end that your child has been involved in a serious car accident and that you need to come to the hospital immediately. That’s the call we received this morning about our daughter Savannah. Savannah survived with a fractured vertebrae in her neck and several bruises and burns from the airbags. We have a six-week recovery period and we are all so thankful to the good Lord above for His grace and mercy. Everyone look out for the girl wearing the helmet and riding a tricycle down the highways going forward.”

Don’t Be Tardy star, Brielle Biermann, sent good wishes to her friend Savannah through Twitter.

It seems that many ppl no longer stop to help anymore.whether it’s they are in too much of a hurry to get where they are going or fear that it is a ruse, etc I think we have lost a lot of the connectivity to neighbours, ppl needing help, etc that we used to have. We know more about our online friends than we do about the person living next to us. I am guilty of that sometimes myself. Small towns may be a hotbed of gossip but I can still walk down the street and have a 20 min conversation with someone I do not know. Mostly locals lol the tourists are another story…..

Great comment Contessa. Sounds like you live in a town similar to mine. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked into a shop downtown and been told that they’ve seen my son, who he was with and that he stopped to say hi. You’re right…..lots of gossip in small towns, but also lots of eyes and ears on loved ones too.

I love my town and love being close to the water. There is a courtesy here that is often lacking in the cities as well. I feel safe walking alone at night and know if I were to scream if someone was trying anything that ppl would come out of their homes instead of just checking to make sure the door was locked lol. I wouldn’t trade my small town life for anything.

Glad to hear she’s okay but is there anything that this generation don’t put on social media? The absolute last thing I would be concerned about in that much pain and hemmed up is sharing with STRANGERS a picture of my injuries. I seriously just don’t get it anymore… I hope her explanation is in the police report…

If you can God darned tweet and post on Instagram, you aren’t in that bad of shape.

Even in the face of serious injury, the thirsty will still make it to Twitter.

Prayers for a quick recovery. Love the show.

I know they’ve joked about Savannah’s bad driving on the show before. I hope she really takes things to heart and gets more serious about driving a vehicle. She’s so lucky that things turned out as well as they did. She could have hit an oncoming car.
