‘RHOA’ Apollo Nida Blocks Ex Phaedra Parks From Selling Shared Home

Posted on Jan 15 2017 - 5:28pm by Terri L. Austin

The legal wrangling continues in Phaedra Parks’ split from her jailbird husband, Apollo Nida.

Since Apollo has nothing but time on his hands, he’s decided to make Phaedra’s life as complicated as possible.

First, he filed for divorce, even though the judge had already signed off on the decree, taking advantage of a misspelling (Nita instead of Nida). Next, he claimed he hadn’t been notified the divorce was final.

In his latest move, Apollo is attempting to block the sale of the couples’ home, and has put a lien on the property they shared together — despite the fact his name never appeared on the deed.

Phaedra Parks’ former Buckhead house shared with ex Apollo

Phaedra purchased the 4,229 square-foot home in her own name. Back in 2013, she paid $845,000 for the property. Now that Phaedra has purchased a 9,000 square-foot house for a whopping $1.9 million, Apollo is blocking the sale of their jointly shared house until he gets a cut, even though he’s not entitled to it.

Phaedra Parks’ new house

Sitting on the border of Atlanta and Sandy Springs, the 9,000-square-foot home features six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and plenty of outdoor space for entertaining. Press play to check out Parks‘ new digs below.

Since her attorney attempted to keep the settlement sealed, it’s given Apollo a lot of time to craft a plan to tie Phaedra up in legal knots.

Do you think Apollo deserves half? She’s already paid $100,000 toward his restitution fines. Does Apollo deserve more than that?

He’s serving time on both of their behalfs, who are we BSn here?

    • Thank you. Glad I’m not the only one that sees through Phaedra’s fraud. I’m glad Apollo is blocking the sale. He deserves half the profit from the sale of the marital The money can go towards his restitution.

      • ScrappieONE

I’m right with you…. Remember Kenya’s first season calling her Shady Phaedra.

      • GetReal2014

Same here, Doc. Phaedra was complicit in his crimes and should bear part of the burden.

  • Sugar in my tank

Hunty, I may not be a lawyer but I can definitely read through the bull sh*t. Everybody knows that when a married couple purchase a home and leave the name off of the deed of the spouse who is the felon, there is some shady sh*t a brewing..As I said many times before, Apollo is serving time for both he and his ex-wife. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apollo meets his maker while in lock-up..

  • Sunflower

    There is no legal wrangling.
Apollo, who is behind bars, has taken control of the Empire he left behind… under the care of shady Phaedra!!

    • GetReal2014

      Hahaha!

  • lisa

She has met her match Apollo is making sure she pays him back the money she helped him swindle from people her hands are not clean remember she said when you build one grave make sure you make one for yourself she better take her own advice lol

    • GetReal2014

She definitely needs to take her own advice. She can’t sign her name on his companies and pretend she didn’t know what was going down. Her hands are filthy.

  • RRRobin

    He doesn’t deserve jack chit.

    • Trippinhhard

He won’t get a penny of the money, the Feds will take it away for his restitution..

  • Trippinhhard

She may have purchased the home, but Atlanta is like Louisiana, he going to get his half, because of the law.. anywho he did all the upgrades and labor in that house, to make it what it was.. She should never try and cheat a crook, Apollo has decades of tricks up his sleeves.. In jail there’s nothing to do but read and learn the law.. Give him his half and keep it moving.. Put his money in escrow or if the Feds take it as part of his restitution.. Fhedra please stop trying to trick this man, he’s streets smart and you’re not, remember you married him and had two children with him.. So don’t screw him over, you are free and he’s serving time again.. SMDH
The only way he doesn’t get half, is if you had him signed papers saying he has no rights to any thing to do with this house.. thatbyou were buying that house with your money. Then he would get no monies made off the house.. I had my ex sign off of our beach house because he thought it was too much work..He didn’t get a dime and knew not to ask me shit…

    • Marsbars09

Great advice Samra. Apollo is desperate or will be desperate once he gets released from prison and he expects some proceeds from the sale of their house.

      • Trippinhhard

The Feds will take that money for restitution, but he’s showing Fhedra to don’t try and cut him out of nothing.. She received what she wanted from him, those two little boys..The Law states it doesn’t matter if, him or her purchased it doing the marriage.. it’s a 50/50 split, unless he signed his rights away.. She shouldn’t be try cheat him period,, He is the father of their two little boys…and she did benefit from his stolen enterprise.. What happened to those larger than life parties she was throwing.. Who with good sense would spend that type of money on a child birthday.. That could have been out in his college account..IJS

        • Marsbars09

Your insight is on point as always.

          • Trippinhhard

Thank you justbthe things I learned over the years and having two brothers as Lawyers.. My new friend/Man is a lawyer also.. I do freelance for my brothers, I love putting puzzles together and that’s what most cases are.. I wish Stacy would do another blog on this subject.. Girl the cons learn the law likes lawyer sad can quote it word for word.. I have seen and heard this with my eyes and ears.. They study the law book, like the Bible, they quote it word for word.. As my mother would say, if you’re not living the Bible then you can wipe your ass with it because it’s not doing you any good.. When you know better, you are supposed to do better..

          • aemish

            Preach, woman!!

          • Trippinhhard

Hey Aemish, good to see you posting again, hadn’t seen you in a while.. Hope everything is okay with you and your family.. (((())))

          • aemish

Yes we were in between places the last month and finally finish unpacking this week :o)

          • Trippinhhard

Okay good, you know when you get accustomed to seeing a person profile and then don’t see it, I miss it and was hoping everything was okay.. I’m in the process of moving 32 years of shit and just don’t know where to start.. The end of one era and the beginning of another..(((()))

          • aemish

Aww!! What a positive way to look at it… I reallllly am grateful for it at this moment.. you have no idea! :p

          • Trippinhhard

I know the feeling, I’m thinking about hiring a moving company that pack up your shit and move it for you.. I’m at a loss of wear to start and I don’t want to extend the energy it takes to move your whole adult life away..

          • aemish

Small price to pay if it saves your sanity!

          • Trippinhhard

IKR I have to be out by the end of next month, but I’m too tired with neck and back problems to deal with all the things we have.. I told my ex come and get whatever you want.. My condo will not hold half of what I have in this big ass house…lol

        • Btheladyinred

The same person who throws those parties is the same person who thinks she needs a house this size for a single mom of two.

          • Trippinhhard

Did you see the house Porsha bought, I just don’t get it, a big ass house fir one person.. Maybe her sister might live with her, but it’s still too big and the upkeep us too much, take it from me.. All the women living above their mean, but Kandi she was a rich bitch before the show started. She’s very frugal with her money, and she right to be, that I do admire about her.. I’m living in a 5000sq by my self, I can’t wait to sell this house, it too damn big and I’m to cheap to pay to have it clean.. The only thing I’m going to miss, is my ex built this house with LOVE for me.. But it’s just a house now, it’s not a home because the love is gone.

          • Btheladyinred

Even if you can why do it? I mean yeah, it may be an investment but you are better off buying property than makes your money, not property you are paying for. Once you buy that home you still have to pay utilities etc for it.

          • Trippinhhard

Girl the utilities in my house at 5000 sq feet is $200.00 in the winter, I don’tu use the heater, because I can’t have that heat in the winter and menopause is a SOB..
I love the winter, and during the winner here we still have to use the air conditioning..In the summer my bill is about $450.00- $600.00 for just me and that’s only for downstairs cooling.. So I can imagine what they are paying and I’m also very conservative and too much light hurts my 👀… I just don’t get people that are living in all these huge homes and paying those $1200.00-$3000.00 a month utilities…

    • Elizabeth Fisher

You are correct about having to sign an Act of Intervention in Louisiana. When my BFF bought another house that her husband didn’t want, he had to sign an Act of Intervention at the Act of Sale that he wouldn’t go after the proceeds from the sale of new house even though her name was the only name on the mortgage.

      • Trippinhhard

They signed a prenup, but that applies to what you had before the marriage.. Unless it states anything in this marriage anything I purchase or receive is mine and yours is yours.. If it purchased burning the marriage and she didn’t get him, to give his right away on that home, 50% of the profits off that house us his and rightfully so, I’m just a straight shooter and don’t like none of these stars on ALL of the housewives show.. She’s not dealing with a dumb crook, so the Feds will take it as part of his restitution, he has to pay..She’s going to piss him off and he’s going to start talking.. Now according to the Law, there’s nothing he can say now, would put her gehind bars, but he could further ruin whatever reputation she has left.. I wouldn’t try him at all.. The law is the law and as a Lawyer herself she should know better, but you trying to get over on a crook. Bitch Please have a seat in the back of the bus.. Now this I’d just my opinion, but I know the Law in Louisiana, went thru a divorce myself, something I never thought I would divorce this Sexy ass Big Tall drink of the best wine you can buy..

        • shayvoe

Not in GA, if your name’s not on the deed, which his isn’t, whether you are married or not. He is entitled to nothing, nada, zip from the sale of that home.

          • Trippinhhard

Someone else said it was 50/50 in Atlanta, thank you for the correction..
I know in Louisiana it’s 50/50 unless you had the other party sign their right away from whatever you were purchasing or doing while married..

          • shayvoe

Yep….lived in LA too, which is still under Napoleonic Law, but in GA, only the mortgagee’s name, who is the person who applied for the mortgage, if it is not a co application, and whose income and credit was used, appears on the deed, unless you add a spouse legally after the fact. My husband and I bought a home in GA, and he applied for the loan only using his income and credit to purchase the home, so only his name was on the deed, until we legally added mine. Had we gotten a divorce without adding my name to the deed, I would have had no claim to the home, which is why I know Apollo has no claim on that house. When we moved to a neighboring state a few years later, we did the same thing, he applied for the mortgage and only used his credit and income, but in the state I live now, even if you only use one spouse’s income and credit, and apply for the mortgage in only one spouse’s name and they are the mortgagee, it is a law in this state that both spouses have to be on the deed, so at the the closing, my name was automatically on the deed, and we didn’t have to go back and add it.

          • Trippinhhard

Thank you for the detailed information,.. I just divorced almost two years, how time flies, in Louisiana it doesn’t matter who name is one the mortgage, if you are married, it’s a 50/50 state.. During my marriage and the deals I made that my husband was interested in, I had my lawyer draw up paperwork, so that he had no claim or say so, on what I did and the monies I made was all mine.. Sometimes men can be so bullheaded and dumb..But he’s my past, not my future.

          • shayvoe

            You’re welcome.

        • Elizabeth Fisher

Even Phaedra isn’t stupid enough to close on that house without having Apollo sign the necessary paperwork – as well as the closing attorneys and real estate agents. It serves no purpose to put only her name on the house if he doesn’t sign the necessary paperwork forfeiting his rights to any proceeds from the sale. Phaedra may be shady, but she’s not stupid. And her real estate agent and closing attorney aren’t about to commit malpractice by giving Apollo a roundabout way of suing for half that house. This lawsuit is bullshit.

          • Trippinhhard

You’re right the closing agent and the lawyers are not putting their jobs and reputation on the line for no one.. I can attest to the facts that they dot every I and cross every T.. Our custom built was just closed on and I have to be out by the end of next month.. shit I have 32 yrs old things to move and haven’t boxed one thing as of yet. Thinking about hiring a moving company to pack me up and deliver myshit to my new place of resident…

  • Marsbars09

There are too many stairs in that house. I wonder if Fake is going to move her mother in to live with her.
I find it very peculiar that Fake bought a new home just a couple of years after Apollo was sentenced to prison. I would be worried people would be looking into my finances.

  • Btheladyinred

If I was her I would just give him half to shut him up and be done with their mess. She is lucky she isn’t in there with him.

    • clare

Could not agree more Btheladyinred! Well said. Like Mama Joyce said, Fakedra truly ought to be sharing a cell with Apollo! It’s very evident in my opinion that she was indisputably aware of all of his tomfoolery (to put it mildly.) She’s crooked and messy as all hell!

      • Btheladyinred

I just wonder what she will come up with as a response. You know if she pays him, she will lie about the reason.

        • Trippinhhard

The Feds is going to take anything he gets to pay off his restitution with them.
I wouldn’t cheat the father of my two children for all the tea in China.. She married himknowihg fully aware of his background, so to try cheat him is a new low for her.. In prison they learn the law likes Lawyers, they have nothing but
time on their hands,as well as the Bible.. I could never do that to someone I loved at one time..

          • Btheladyinred

I wouldn’t of ever loved him. It is possible she never really loved him like she should of. Maybe she just wanted pretty babies. If for some reason she fights him on this, it won’t be because she is cheating him it will be because legally she doesn’t have to pay. For all we know they could have had an agreement he would not get anything from the house. But as I said. she is better off just paying him to be done with it.

          • Trippinhhard

They had a prenuptial before marriage per Fhedra.. He going to be vindictive towards her the whole time he’s in prison.. I think she did love him, but you can’t change anyone in life, you have to want to change., He was given a second chance to be a productive successful man. He had a wife that had her own, before marrying him, but he took the crooked route instead of using his skills in sales, marketing or anything he really worked hard at.. he’s attractive and he dresses nice, if he would have use his con skill at a real job, I really think he would had been successful at it.. I’m sure Fhedra marrying him thought he would not walk down the wrong path way again..

          • shayvoe

            Very well said!

          • Trippinhhard

            Thank you

      • Trippinhhard

I’m dipping in your conversation. Joyceless needs to shut her mouth up.. Kandi don’t want anyone to say nothing about her mother, but her mother is always in someone else’s business.. None of the other mother speak on none of the women, but hateful ass Joyceless.. She has skeletons in her closets also..

  • shayvoe

In Ga, if your name’s not on the deed to the house, even if you are a spouse, you get nothing in a divorce from the house. I know this, becuase we bought a house in GA and only used my husbands income and credit. The lawyer said we had to add my name to the deed, becuase it is not mandatory both spouses name be on the deed in GA, and that is exactly how Phaedra was able to get the house with Apollo’s name not being on the deed, even though they were married. When we moved to a neighboring state a few years later, we did the same thing, only used his credit and income, but in the state I live now, even if you only use one spouse’s income and credit, it is a law that both spouses have to be on the deed. Apollo will get nothing from the sale of that house. The new home is gorgeous!

    • Elizabeth Fisher

Apollo has nothing but time on his hands. You are correct that he will get nothing.

  • Sunflower

Apollo is going hard after her… making sure no matter what…. he gets monies coming to him… from Phaedra.
He is doing it loud and clear… “white washing money” is not a good thing when the other half of a TEAM feels betrayed!

  • WeCouldBeHeroes

    Apollo’s mom though….

  • BetteDavisEyez1

Now that’s a house. Not some meth lab in a ditch or a house that will never be completed.
This will be Phaedra’s third home since she has been on the show. Bigger & better everytime. That is how you do it.
Apollo doesn’t deserve a dime more of Phaedra’s money. She paid his lawyer’s fees & $100k for his restitution. Apollo is not in the least concerned about his sons because if he was, he wouldn’t be trying to take food out of their mouths.
He sure wasn’t worried about how much he spent in the strip clubs but now he is doing everything he can to be a menace to Phaedra.

    • shayvoe

That home is to die for. It looks like a home, even though it is huge, and the grounds are gorgeous too. The guesthouse is perfect for her Mom when she is there, or the second master too, or maybe she is going to use the guest house as her office.

      • BetteDavisEyez1

Yes. It is a beautiful home & I know Phaedra is not stupid enough to make that huge of a purchase if she was concerned about the Feds coming after her.
So much for the theory that she benefited from Apollo’s ill gotten gains. She is still handling her business, two years later.

    • Trippinhhard

I agree with you to a certain point on this house.. Apollo did all the repairs and carpenter work on this house to make it look the way it does. He does deserve something and I dont think he will ever take food from his children, maybe a few pairs red bottom shoes from Fhedra.. I wouldn’t try to stiffhim if he deserves something by the law.. But someone below told me it’s all hers because her name is on the deeds.. Georgia law is different, I was just corrected by a poster, that he won’t be getting a penny.. If he did get anything the Feds were going to take it to pay toward his restitution, the million or whatever he owes them.. Well what do the people he stole from gets…I don’t know

      • shayvoe

The $100,000 she paid of his restitution and the attys fees she paid for him should be more than enough payment for any work he did on a house he lived in, which he didn’t pay a dime of the mortgage for and probably not much else. He was too busy spending any money he had in the strip clubs. I’m sure Phaedra paid the majority of the bills, all the mortgage, bought the groceries, bought the materials he used to renovate the house, and anything else to keep a roof over their heads and clothe and feed his kids.

        • Trippinhhard

Girl when he said he spent 10K a night at the strip club, his shitwould have been on the front lawn.. Wherein the hell do a criminal, get that much money to make it rain, at the Strip Club, with Todd and Petra.. That shit right there would be the end for me.. Then he had the nerves to think nothing of it.. He could have put that in Aiden’s college fund…She was smart not to put his name on anything and he did sign a prenuptial.. Anyway any monies he gets the Feds is taking it toward his restitution to the retirees he stole from.. I could slap the piss out of him, because he was nasty to his wife toward the end…

          • shayvoe

He was! I liked him in the beginning, until his true colors reappeared. He had an educated wife with a good career, who wanted to help him with a legit career, two beautiful kids, a beautiful home….he had everything he could have ever wanted and he threw it all away for the easy money of a criminal life.

          • Trippinhhard

The old saying is the trut, once a crook always a crook, it’s the truth in his case.
You’re correct he had everything going his way, a successful wife, nice home and an intelligent son, who adored him,you could see that thru the TV y.. He would rather be a crook, than work a 9:00-5:00 job, that’s why he’s back in jail for the second time for the same crimes. How sad for his sons..

      • BetteDavisEyez1

That is probably why the Feds didn’t take the house in the first place. I read that Phaedra paid his attorney’s fees & $100k in restitution & I’m sure they had a prenup.
I wonder how much he still owes & if anyone that he stole from will ever see a dime. These were retirees & he still has 6 years before he gets out.

        • Trippinhhard

They will get pennies on a dollar, just like Teresa paying her contractors, pennies on a dollar.. I sure some of those people will have to budget really tight to make ends meet, when they’ve worked all their lives to retire.. I will say this though, if you’re going to do a crime, do white collar,it’s a federal expense.. You do less time and out quicker.. Blue collar crimes will be in jail for decades fir small shit.. Don’t get caught with a couple of joints, 3 years, unless you can afford a lawyer, if you get a Public defender, you Maya’s well flip a coin.. Some don’t give a damn and they have too many cases to handle them all properly..

  • Kissme

He should be grateful he got the 100,000.
