Health scare for Andy Cohen! The Watch What Happens Live host took to the airwaves with gal pal Kelly Ripa to disclose his brush with cancer, calling himself, “tanorexic.”

“I have to shout you out for something that you don’t know I’m going to shout you out for,” Cohen said to Ripa during his co-hosting stint on Live with Kelly on Nov 25.

Turns out, while at a party back in April, Ripa pointed out a “black dot on [Cohen’s] bottom lip” that concerned her.

Kelly replied to Cohen on air, “Well, I had never seen it before, and I pay attention to people.”

Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos “pressured Cohen for weeks” to make an appointment with the dermatologist.

Andy revealed, “Finally, I did, and it was melanoma and they removed it and the whole thing, and I just want to thank you because you were so dogmatic.”

Ripa, Cohen and Consuelos are great friends and the couple often appears in Cohen’s books, The Cohen Diaries and Superficial, documenting his day to day life.

“I am tanorexic. I love the sun, I really, do, but be careful.” Cohen continued. “And I, of course, never thought that that kind of thing would happen to me and it will change my relationship to the sun.”

Ripa added, “It’s the third time I’ve picked out skin cancer on my friends.”
