Bethenny Frankel’s divorce from Jason Hoppy is finally over, but could The Real Housewives of New York star find herself back in court?

Rumors over the weekend surfaced that Sonja Morgan hinted she was planning on hiring superstar lawyer, Gloria Allred, to sue Bethenny — leaving fans stunned. Wasn’t this topic of the Tipsy Girl “cheater brand” finally put to rest on a recent episode?

After hearing the news, fans of the show reacted on Twitter. “WHOA, hang on – Sonja was going to retain Gloria Allred to sue YOU!? I mean who does that? That is stupid/funny. Wowza. #RHONY,” one person tweeted Bethenny.

Now Bethenny is hinting towards not returning to RHONY next season, “Now that’s another question. Some damage was done,” Bethenny tweeted.

Frankel‘s above response is to a fan’s enthusiasm over her return to the show, “So happy @Bethenny was #1! The B is back and I hope she stays. #skinnygirllove”

This latest legal drama between Bethenny and Sonja stems from alleged “unethical,” dealings on Bethenny‘s part; as a direct result of Morgan’s decision to market “Tipsy Girl” prosecco booze.

This season, viewers watched Bethenny lose it when she heard the news that Sonja had joined in the spirits venture. Bethenny expressed disgust and anger, at the supposed attempt to copycat her Skinnygirl brand. Bethenny has previously written in her Bravo blog.

[otw_shortcode_quote border=”bordered” border_style=”bordered” color=”#3366ff”]”The Sonja situation was just kind of sad. Obviously, her idea can’t touch my brand. There is no product or distribution. It is a made-for-television idea, and I have over 20 varieties of wine, vodka and ready to drink. You can’t find a city of the Housewives where several women haven’t followed in my footsteps and attempted booze. Bring it on. The more the merrier.”[/otw_shortcode_quote]

Case close — right? Not so fast. Although Bethenny boasts of having a superior booze product that Sonja’s “Tipsy Girl,” “can’t touch my brand,” her actions prove otherwise. According to an exclusive email obtained by AllAboutTheTea.Com in June, addressed to high-powered attorney, Gloria Allred, Bethenny is allegedly trying to trademark Sonja‘s booze moniker “Tipsy Girl” as one word, “TipsyGirl.”  The email is a request to consider legal action to stop one of Sonja’s “co-stars.” Frankel is not named in the email, but it’s obvious who the potential defendant is.

Bethenny’s company, SG Marks LLC, indeed filed a trademark for the name “Tipsygirl,” on November 24, an obvious move to thwart Sonja‘s “Tipsy Girl,” business. The email to Gloria Allred reads below.

“One of Sonja’s co-stars is maliciously defaming her in the press and harming her current and future business prospects by attempting to hijack her brand name Tipsy Girl, and trademarking it TipsyGirl (one word). This crosses the line of ethics and morality, and this person harming Sonja is nothing more than a con-artist with a platform.”
