Last Sunday (April 10), Bravo aired part one of the dramatic The Real Housewives of Potomac Reunion.

The Real Housewives of Potomac follows the upscale lives of six intriguing, well-to-do African-American women: Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson Jordan, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley Darby, all of whom have fought for their places in this society by way of legacy or marriage.

In the first of the two-part reunion, the Potomac ladies rehashed the drama of the show’s inaugural season. Tensions rose between many of the ladies but the shade meter between Grand Dame of Potomac, Karen Huger, and her friend of many years, Charrisse Jackson Jordan, stood out as unusual. Especially since the two got along swimmingly throughout the season.

All About the Tea spoke exclusively with Karen to get her reaction to Charrisse’s obvious shade.

Karen says the two did not have a disagreement prior to the reunion.

“No, we did not have a falling out. I saw that [the shade] and I’d like to know what happened. But as a friend I’m going to reserve my opinion about that.” She continues, Charrisse is going through a great deal.”

Charrisse has been candid about her marriage issues with her husband, former Rutgers men’s basketball head coach Eddie Jordan, this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac. The basketball wife even went so far as to say that she was going to divorce her hubby of more than 18 years.

“If you notice all season long — I try to support her [Charrisse]. Whatever happened that morning before the reunion, I don’t know— I have questions myself. But I’m going to trust that those questions will be answered organically in the next season. I think I handled it accordingly.”

Karen is hopeful that their friendship is strong enough to get through their issues.

“I’m hopeful that our friendship will survive.”

She adds: “We’re all human, we have our ups and downs but at the end of the day (for me),  it’s my relationship with these ladies. I want it to survive long after the show, so I’m not going to be judgmental at this point.”

Were her feelings hurt?

“My feelings were paused. I’m a cautious person. I have a big heart. When I care about you — you have a friend for life until you don’t deserve it anymore.”

Part 2 of The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion airs Sunday, April 17 at 8:00 pm ET on Bravo.

Additionally, the entire first season of The Real Housewives of Potomac will be available for people to catch-up on via Xfinity during Watchathon week, which begins Monday, April 18. Don’t miss it!
