Vicki Gunvalson’s recovery from a recent sand dune buggy accident has hit a road block.

Insiders say the Real Housewives of Orange County star is suffering from “head and neck trauma” following Saturday’s desert excursion accident, according to E! News.

“She does not feel good,” said the source. “If Vicki doesn’t start to feel better soon, she’ll be brought back to the hospital.”

As All About the Tea reported, Gunvalson and Tamra Judge were riding in an off-road vehicle in Glamis, Calif., when they took a wrong turn causing them to flip over.

A medical chopper flew to the location, some four hours from Los Angeles, and picked up Gunvalson, 54, for treatment. She was released from the hospital soon after.

Gunvalson hasn’t specified her injuries, instead updated the public via Instagram.“Recovering at home but so thankful my guardian angel was watching over us (thank you Mom),” she shared on Instagram on Monday. “To all of you that have sent tweets, emails and have called, thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Vicki at this time for a speedy recovery.

    Oh, my!!!
It seems like the BEST thing Icky can do is retire from Bravo.
She can count on my prayers. : )

  • Sandy Wood

Hope she recovers…no mention of Tamra, so assume she is OK.
Wonder if Brooks found a suitable Hallmark Card…maybe something like “sorry I upset your applecart, but dang, now you’ve upset your go-cart”

    • MidwestMiddie

Brooks is sending her coded messages on how best to go about
scamming/suing those who rented out the ATV to her and Tamar.
She’ll need recovery time in Mexico. Do you think Brooks has grown
a huge mustache and is bartending at Icky’s Bar and Grill in Mexico. Ole!!

      • Sandy Wood

LOL…Garzon Garth, at your service, senorita!

        • MidwestMiddie

“Si, we only serve Icky’s Vodka made from OC potatoes.”

      • Maezeppa

NBC/BRAVO could be the deep pocket, depending on the contract.

        • MidwestMiddie

          Agree…….

        • justanothermary

I don’t really see how. It seems to me the “talent” on these shows would be independent contractors of a sort and probably cannot hold CBS liable for this type of incident. Also, I’m sure they have to sign waivers before embarking on an adventure of this type. JMHO

          • Maezeppa

As I mentioned, “depending on the contract” but BRAVO has been sued before, and settled before, for injuries sustained in a “contrived for TV” scene.

    • justanothermary

I am sure there is a shake from Club Detox that will fix her right up.

      • MidwestMiddie

True……according to Icky when you drink those juices you can
“Be Your Own Doctor” so she doesn’t need to see professional medical
care. If necessary, she should call YoNuts for referrals……..some may have treated Brooks.

  • Chloe

It’s sad that at Vicki’s lowest, some people continue their heartless attacks. Speaks volumes of their nasty characters.

    • justanothermary

No, I think it speaks volumes about the extent of the nasty things Vicki has done. Even an injury like this will not exonerate her in the eyes of the viewers. She may have seriously hurt people looking for a cure for their cancer thinking that some stupid shakes cured Brooks. That’s about as low as anyone could ever go.

      • JustSayin

I agree with your point, but I also think anyone looking to the Real Housewives for medical advice, especially in regard to something as serious as cancer, needs their head checked.

        • CNN

Agreed. Who in their right mind is looking at Vicki and Brooks storyline for guidance on their own medical care.

          • sideof Sour Cream

The whole point is that people that are facing death are not in their “right mind”.

          • MidwestMiddie

Coffee Enemas, anyone? (Remember that scene?)
People with cancer and those who had loved ones suffering with cancer and were Bravo viewers turned on the show for Entertainment …….not a sick con-game about cancer and have to hear Icky say she couldn’t bear to spend anytime in the hospital’s Cancer Waiting Room with the cancer patients.

          • sideof Sour Cream

Remember when she pissed on the bed in Mexico? She’s an amoral, nasty, sloppy mess.
blech. She pretty much ruins OC for me 🙁

        • justanothermary

That’s the whole point. I have had cancer and been very near death from it. I would have tried just about anything if I truly thought it would help. Vicki had a persona of being a smart business woman, people who were suffering may have thought the shakes were really helping Brooks. It’s a horrible thing to do.

      • Chloe

That’s a lame excuse. Vicki has not stolen, murdered or influenced anyone to do anything. I think people that think like you need their heads examined and quickly.

        • Starr

Conning people to buy her miracle elixir is the lowest of the low. Especially targeting cancer patients. She’s the lowest of the low, and deserves whatever karma serves her.

        • sideof Sour Cream

Spoken like a true Vicky fan.

          • Hey…what does that mean? I’m a Vicki fan.

          • sideof Sour Cream

It means what it means. Vicky is a piece of shit and I AM OUTTA HERE.

          • Bye! If you gotta get mean then adios!

          • CNN

I am too and I am not surprised by side of Sour Cream or Midwest Middie. Both are nasty pieces of work that are over the top with their Vicki hate. You should of seem them while the show was on. They love to attack posters.

          • Thanks CNN….I’ve seen the in season fighting and it does get ugly. But I’m a little shocked at Side of SC….she’s usually respectful of differing opinions. Oh well…it is what it is.

          • MidwestMiddie

            ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

          • Starr

It’s funny, cuz I’ve always enjoyed my middle in the mid-west, with a side of sour cream.

          • MidwestMiddie

            ; )

          • Sandy Wood

Maybe scroll to the bottom of this page and see who the first person to offer up prayers for Vicki was.

          • RHONJ Fan

I’m glad you mentioned this, Cnn. I was forced into an apology by Midwest Middie last week, on another thread. I’m not one for getting in the middle of drama but now that you mention the name, it reminds me of our incident.

          • MidwestMiddie

omg……I am so sorry and don’t recall this at all.
The last thing I want to do is “FORCE” you into something and be
accused of being manipulative like Lisa VP?
Funny, AATT never contacted me. Hmmm
I sure don’t want you to suffer from Eileen-itis and never be able to let go of whatever small issues come your way.
            Eye Roll

          • JustSayin

I’m not a Vicky fan, but I have had a similar problem with people wanting to make broad generalizations about all of the fans of one of the Housewives.

There are plenty of housewives I don’t like, and I comment on them, not their fans.

          • BINGO!!! I wish ALL posters had the same thought process. No need to get personal and start attacking the fans.

          • JustSayin

I hate to say it, but I see this behavior from a few regulars whose posts I generally enjoy. There are times I want to say something, but don’t want them to think I’m siding against them or just being a bitch. I just think it’s best to be fair to all.

          • SassyMcAsspants

It’s hard not to be goaded sometimes, especially when someone is being super offensive–although offensive is also relative. Meh! Snark, snark, snark!!

          • JustSayin

I completely get that, I’m a very tit for tat kind of person, I’ll play nice as long as you do, but if you want to be an asshole, trust and believe I can be a bigger asshole.

But I’ve seen some posts that are insulting in a passive aggressive sort of way, just because they don’t like the person supporting a certain Housewife. I’m all for snarking back and forth, but no need to insult another person just for liking someone you don’t.

          • SassyMcAsspants

Right?! I agree, 1000%. There’s a few topic boards I tend to avoid (sometimes I visit them just to remind myself) because it gets too jerky. And, yup, I can go from zero to asshole in a hot second, lol. The passive thing really bums me out, too.

I can’t be bothered really, lol, to even keep track of who’s for/against a particular HW, I can’t imagine throwing personal shade based on that shit. C’est le vie, I s’pose. 🙂

          • JustSayin

That last paragraph – SAME HERE! No offense to yall, but I ain’t got time to be remembering who you like and dislike on reality TV lol

          • SassyMcAsspants

Lol, right?! I still struggle with when you’re supposed to put on pants! Teehee.

          • I’ve made the mistake of saying something and was attacked so I understand where you’re coming from. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and while I may not agree with said opinion, they are entitled.

          • Contessa Bel Raven

It’s crazy how some of them start with the name calling and insults

          • Sandy Wood

Psssst, Suess, don’t tell anyone, but I find much to like about Bethenny, kind of dreading what will happen next week if I make any positive comments about her. LOL

          • JustSayin

OFF WITH YOUR HEAD! Lol jk

          • Sandy Wood

And that’s what I love about this board!

          • JustSayin

            Me too =)

          • SassyMcAsspants

            Teehee. 🙂

          • Bwahahaha!!

          • Starr

Previews show that she has a “mystery” illness. Another HW season with more mystery illness drama. Uh oh.

          • SassyMcAsspants

Icky and Barfenny with “mystery illnesses”?! *Flops on the floor and throws a fit three-year-old style.* I can’t deal with that, at all!

          • HAHAHA! Hey Sandy….your secret is safe with me. I think you won’t get flogged and stoned like Vicki fans do. Good Lord, it’s like an inquisition.

          • SassyMcAsspants

Brings out the thumb screws and the Iron Maiden … I mean, nooooothing! 😀

          • HAHAHAHA!!!!!!

          • MidwestMiddie

            LOL

          • Birdie

I like her too Sandy–we can high five in the recaps. 👊🏼

          • JustSayin

Or burn together at the stake…lol again jk

          • Birdie

            Someone bring the marshmallows…

          • JustSayin

That’s the spirit! Lol making lemonade out of lemons is nothing compared to making s’mores from the flames that burn you for being a heretic.

          • Birdie

            I do love a Hershey bar. 🤔

          • SassyMcAsspants

Don’t forget the (Billy) Graham crackers! 😀

          • SassyMcAsspants

            Bwhahahahahahahahah!!

          • SassyMcAsspants

*Hides the stakes* … Ummm…. we mean steaks! We’re inviting you guys to a lovely BBQ. 😀 (JKJKJKJK)

          • JustSayin

Yes, of course, I meant STEAKS. Silly typos!

            *begins to conspicuously gather kindling*

            I mean…INconspicuously…

          • SassyMcAsspants

Teehee, oh, and those?! Those are just a new style of tiki torches. Ummm, yup, found em on sale even! I guess that’s why they don’t stand up on their own, you kinda have to hold em, see? Whattyagunnadoaboutit?!

        • justanothermary

You obviously have never been very very ill. I hope for your sake you never are. It’s a truly difficult thing to go through, but thinking that people seeking a cure for their illness in any way possible means they should have their heads examined is pretty cruel.

          • Chloe

Please take the “very ill” excuse someplace else. That may work with others here but you won’t get any sympathy from me. I don’t know any of you and frankly don’t want to. I come here to say my piece and keep it moving.

          • Starr

            Speaking of nasty…..

          • Chloe

            Add heartless to that.

          • JustSayin

Lmao at least you’re upfront about it.

          • Chloe

            Thank you.

          • CNN

            LOL.

          • Birdie

            ❤️ you Chloe!!

          • Chloe

Thanks Birdie, the feeling is mutual ❤️. You speak your mind and don’t kiss ass. I appreciate that quality in you.

          • Starr

Wait, so you write you have no sympathy for anyone here, even posters who write of battling serious illnesses, while at the same time criticizing folks who don’t show sympathy for Vicki after her ATV accident??!

          • JustSayin

Well, to be fair, strangers on the internet could be liars liars pants of fires. *cough*Travis*cough*

          • Starr

I missed that whole drama. Did he fake the whole thing? Was it proven?

          • JustSayin

Well, the way it all started off was very weird, when a mod asked “Ethan” for an address for the hospital because people wanted to send flowers and cards, he kinda flipped out and asked if they were accusing him of lying and making it all up. It was really bizarre. Add to that the fact that neither of them ever returned…seems to speak for itself.

          • That whole thing was so bizarre!!

          • SassyMcAsspants

Agreed. I feel like we need a reunion episode for closure on that travesty, lmao. Unfortunately it would like the attention too much, methinks.

          • Bwahahaaa! Oh Lord….he/she would send all her freaks out to defend. That whole time was so crazy. Night after night of thousands of comments. I didn’t get proper sleep during that time in FOMO.

          • SassyMcAsspants

Hahahaha, I’m with ya Seuss. Luckily (?!) at that point, I was laid up and job hunting, so I had all the time for FOMO!! I read all that nonsense over there without commenting for months, mainly because the main perpetrators weirded me out (thanks heebee jeebees!) with some of their super personal shenanigans. The thousands of comments on some of those pages at the end there were insane! But I could not get enough, lmao. On the plus side (for me and some folks, lmao), it did lead me over here and to come out of the snark-closet.

          • YAY! I and a handful of posters were banned from that asylum 3 yrs ago, so it’s nice to see some old timers like BBB1975, Bryan and Pandora join us here. And of course awesome new ones like you.

          • SassyMcAsspants

Thanks, Seuss. 🙂 I remember reading something about that when I started posting. I honestly haven’t even bothered with the other since ..that joint is a bit on the “padded” side–and that’s coming from a nutter like me, lmao! 😛 I’ve seen some cross-over names, some of whom made me giggle over there.

          • MidwestMiddie

When did this happen? Was it at one of the Late Night Parties?

          • The DB/Travis drama happened 2-3 months ago and lasted for about a whole month. It started at another site and when that site did not allow posters to discuss further they came over here.

          • MidwestMiddie

            Thanks, Doc.
I missed all of it and that may have been a “good thing.” : )

          • Urw…the excitement/drama all went down late at night.

          • SassyMcAsspants

The lid blew off that nonsense right on/around New Years, I believe. I remember sneaking peaks at my phone between holiday festivities, lmao.

          • Ahahahaha! Omg….talk about drama!

          • SassyMcAsspants

No doubt! If the Funky Deniva b’ness would have gone down at the same time, I would have lost ma damn mind, lol.

          • Sandy Wood

And that was the birth of Sipping Tea…provided by AATT as a place for people to share their confusion and anger over the whole debacle.
Something great came out of it after all.

          • SassyMcAsspants

            Truuuuuue story, Sandy! 😀

          • MidwestMiddie

            Interesting ……..

          • Yes ma’am!!

You are most welcome, my friend!!😘

          • justanothermary

Why are you so bent on attacking me? Are you the only one allowed to have an opinion?

    • sideof Sour Cream

It’s sad that that Icky continues to be a nasty character.

  • Maezeppa

Some “Guardian Angel” that let you get you injured. But on the bright side – heavy painkillers. And do I smell a big lawsuit?

  • JustSayin

I work for a workers comp defense firm, so my first thought was to wonder if this is a compensable injury. I wonder how that works with filming reality TV…

    • Elizabeth Fisher

I used to do workers’ comp years ago. There are a dozen questions running through my head. Most importantly, are they “employees” of Bravo (or Evolution?) or are they considered “contract” workers? I question whether they would be considered “employees” under the true sense of the law because their contracts are only good for one year. If no taxes are taken out of their paychecks and it is up to them to claim their salaries on their taxes, that leads me to speculate they are “contract workers.” (Of course, I am also basing this on Louisiana law and not California law). Who supplied the dune buggies and who did the training?

      • Marsbars09

I don’t see why Vicky & Tamara would not be covered by worker’s comp. if they were for working for any reputable corporation.

        • JustSayin

If they’re classified as independent contractors, the employer is not required to cover them under workers’ comp.

          • Marsbars09

OK, but I don’t think the wives are independent contractors. I believe their either under the employment of Bravo or the production company which produces RHOA.

          • Chloe

The wives don’t work for Bravo, they are considered contractors.

          • justanothermary

            And you know this because?????

      • sideof Sour Cream

It doesn’t matter. Her insurance company will sue anyone and everyone involved. The ATV manufacturer, Tamera’s insurance co., Bravo, the ATV rental company….
Not to mention, this is a storyline for Icky; possibly one that could make everyone forget about cancergate. It’s a win/win for her.

      • MidwestMiddie

Tamra sent TMZ a notice that the site posted incorrect information.
There were no instructors. She said she’s been driving these vehicles
for many years and what happened was a simple accident due to
a high dune. Also, she said blood tests taken at the hospital prove no
        one was drunk.

        • SassyMcAsspants

Oooooh, good point, Middie! They would have taken blood tests (for alcohol or drugs) especially if there was a possibility of it being a work-related injury.

    • Marsbars09

Hi JS! That’s a great question.
I don’t see why Tamara & Vicki wouldn’t be covered under workman’s comp. if they were injured during filming. The real question is which corporation would be responsible for covering their medical costs.

    • Whatdidyousay

I think they will try to file.
      It’s Vick. the claim queen.

  • sideof Sour Cream

    surprise, Surprise, SURPrise.

  • Marsbars09

I wonder if Andy was one of the people that checked in on Vicky. He invested an awful lot in trying to recover her horrible reputation.

  • RHONJ Fan

I’m no Vicki or Tamra fan but I do wish them both full recoveries from their unfortunate accident.

  • Whatdidyousay

    Drunk driving.

Let me guess. Camera’s were rolling.

    • Cameras rolling but no alcohol involved according to Tamra.

      • Whatdidyousay

        TY
        🙂
Gotta love Tam and her keen ability to survive on HW’s.

I don’t think Vicki does much recreationally w/o alcohol. imo

        • Yw and welcome to the site! 🙂

IKR…they all drink like fish but I don’t think they allow people to drive a dune buggy drunk for insurance purposes.

          • SassyMcAsspants

I would hope so, but we know what a pestering nutjob Icks can be, lol.

Edit: Her spirit animal is the badger.

          • MidwestMiddie

We’ve seen them drunk driving in Resort Golf Carts. : )

          • Well, thank goodness for Vicki, she was not driving this time. LOL!!!

            True!
Vicki is slick and she has a flask.

          • LMAO!!

  • T’s Martini Lounge

Um, ok. I’m not buying any of it. I bet its all staged. Icky Vicky has lied so many times.

    • SassyMcAsspants

I don’t think she staged the accident, but she has proven to over-exaggerate just a tad (LMAO!) …. either way, we’ll be hearing about this FOR. EV. ER. I can just hear her shrieking, “I almost died!”

  • Pandora403

I always thought the housewives were considered “independent contractors” and theywouldn’t be entitled to worker’s comp. But I do see a big, fat lawsuit

    • Hey Pandy! How you doing sweetie?

      • Pandora403

Hi Suess! Taking it one day at a time. What else can I do? Thanks for asking.

        • Hugs and much love to you, sweetie.💜💜💜💜 *Refresh*

          • Pandora403

            Awww……so cute. Thanks!

    • Blackheath

You got that right! But I wonder if it would be against Tamara, she was driving correct?

      • Nick’s daughter

I believe it is in the HWs contracts they sign…where they agree not to sue each other. But I wonder IF that applies -in the case of an accident such as this one. Even with Insurance, the medical bills for those injured are likely to be huge!

  • Betty

Sure she got hurt ……. a little, and the neckbrace is just a precaution. She will never ever stop talking about this. The whole next season will probably revolve around this stupid accident. Ugh

  • itsjustme

I wonder if they did a breathelizer or BAC on Tammy Sue

    • Nick’s daughter

They did. Tamra had Zero alcohol in her system. She is in training for some kind of ‘muscle competition’ & not drinking At. All. The fact the accident took place @11am should also be noted. Hope this info is helpful.
