This week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim Fields hosted a “beatless” brunch, where she encouraged the ladies to come sans makeup and let their natural lashes breathe. Phaedra Parks toned down her creative eyeshadow, but by no means did she show up looking haggard.

“A true southern belle never leaves home without a touch of lip color and a smidge of eyeliner.”

Ah, so we’re back to “Southern Belle” Phaedra. Most of this season has been devoted to “Working Single Mom” Phaedra. Glad she has a wide range.

Not everyone at the brunch embraced the spirit of being beatless.

“…the women in our group can be a bit hypersensitive at times. I understand the message that Kim was trying to convey.”

In particular, Kenya Moore took exception to Kim’s “message.” But Phaedra has a different point of view.

Kim was the host of the brunch and anyone who objected to the theme should not have attended. And certainly if you took offense and still chose to attend, show some grace and be polite to your hostess [sic].”

Phaedra is also moving on from her marriage. She paid a visit to her clench-jawed lawyer to see about divorce proceedings.

“More than anything I want Apollo and I to keep everything amicable with a focus on what’s best for our children. All too often parents forget how much their decisions and behaviors impact their children, however I am very clear on the impact a divorce can have on children.”

Can Phaedra and Apollo see eye to eye on raising their boys?

“I choose to place the wellbeing of my children at the forefront and am very optimistic that Apollo and I will be able work past our differences for the greater good of our children.”

Is it about time Phaedra filed for divorce and do you think she should take the boys to see their father in prison?
