Season eight of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” premiered Sunday night (November 8), with a tweaked cast, and fresh promise for southern drama, Bravo style.

Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas’ marriage has had it’s ups and downs since they wed on the reality show, in 2011. The struggles are real, and viewers will watch the couple face new relationship challenges this season, as they approach their five-year anniversary. All About the Tea spoke with Cynthia exclusively on love and marriage, as a prelude to what appears to be a rough season.

Cynthia dished on what initially attracted her to Peter, and how does his character speak to maintaining a strong and healthy marriage.

“When Peter and I first met I was attracted to everything about him. However, his confidence really stood out. He was handsome, successful, funny, smart, and sexy. He owned all of it. I have always been more attracted to my husband’s mind, than his body.”

The RHOA star dropped a controversial bomb in the debut episode Sunday night (Nov 8) when she responded to her sister, Malorie Massie’s question about her attraction to Peter naked. Cynthia implied that the fire was gone between the couple.

“When my sister, Malorie, asked me if I was still attracted to Peter with his clothes off, she was referring to him physically, not sexually. My honest answer was “no.” For me, physical attraction and sexual attraction are two different subjects, and one has nothing to do with the other. At the time of Malorie’s visit, the video had just came out, we were dealing with the stress of other martial issues, and Peter had packed on some unwanted pounds.”

The supermodel shared her perspective on how couples can maintain healthy marriages, despite lacking physical attraction to each other.

“Physical attraction is important in any marriage or relationship, but it is only one of many factors that will keep a healthy relationship together. I think men hold women to a much higher standard when it comes to physical attraction.” Cynthia continues, “Most women love from more of an emotional and spiritual connection that usually goes beyond the physical. This is an issue that a lot women can relate to but are not comfortable talking about out loud.”

The supermodel, wife, mother, and entrepreneur keeps herself busy with her business, ‘The Bailey Agency School of Fashion’ dominating many hours of her day, she continues to seek out and inspire Atlanta’s most promising talent. In addition, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta star added eyewear designer to her resume.

Cynthia teamed up with Celebrity Eyewear Stylist and Fashion Brand Guru, Tiffany Williams, CEO of Eye Candy Creations and NYC based Menizzi Italy Eyewear to design, manufacture and distribute an exclusive eyewear collection.
