Player Gets Played

Oxygen is switching things up a bit with their reality show, “Players Get Played!” The show provides suspicious women with the opportunity to bust their cheating boyfriends. Instead of simply leaving them to wallow in their heartbreak; Oxygen will be assisting the betrayed women in getting back at their unfaithful partners.

In the season one finale, airing Wednesday, July 29 at 9:00 pm ET on the Oxygen channel, Stefany Ahumada, 22, thinks her boyfriend, Arnaldo aka “Angel, is the perfect guy, but when an internet search reveals he’s posting online by another name and flirting with girls on the other side of the United States, Stefany goes on a cross-country hunt for answers.

All About the Tea chatted with Stefany about “getting played,” and her experience exposing her philandering boyfriend, while filming a television show. Check out our interview below.

Was it difficult to open up and share your personal life on camera? “Having the cameras around definitely made me feel more vulnerable. The show revealed parts of my life that I otherwise would have kept private, but I’m glad I had the experience to help empower other woman.”

Were you shocked by the info revealed about Angel? “I was shocked up to an extent about the information revealed about Arnaldo aka Angel. He is such an amazing person, but obviously not such an amazing boyfriend.”

How did you meet Angel? “Angel and I met at a club in Fullerton, California. I called him over to dance with me and the rest was history.”

What was your experience doing the show? Good and bad. “Overall, it was an exciting experience, but I wish the circumstances would have been different “

How will you use the lessons learned for future relationships? “This experience has taught me to be a little more cautious and not so lenient when it comes to relationships.”

What advice would you offer young ladies going through similar situations with their boyfriends? “Never forget your worth! Sometimes, in a relationship, we evolve ourselves to accommodate our partner, and during that process we end up losing ourselves. It doesn’t matter how attractive they are, or how much money they make, because without trust you have nothing!”

Player Gets Played” is produced by DiGa. The executive producers for the series are Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley and Cheryl Horner Sirulnick.

Don’t miss the season finale airing tomorrow (Wednesday, July 29) at 9:00 pm ET on the Oxygen channel. Watch an exclusive sneak peek of Stefany and Angel’s episode below:

Interesting interview. This show is crazy on the next level. Some of the men are juggling 4-5 women at the same time. And the interesting part is to see how different some of these women are. I’ll tune in for the finale. Good luck Stefany.

These women are crazy. A men will always show signs he’s cheating so there’s no way they had no clue.

  • These men outta be ashamed of themselves.

I watched this show for the first time today (not this episode) and it did seem like the women involved were empowered. I liked how the women worked together to set the trap and catch the cheater, but I felt that these ladies should have known something wasn’t quite right sooner. He can’t always be “hanging with his boys” and if he is, that’s a red flag. With today’s technology, we are a hook-up nation, and that’s sad. Great interview!
