As we previously reported, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards, allegedly relapsed at daughter Brooke’s Mexico wedding this past weekend. Now things have gone from bad to worse with a new report claiming that Kim’s alleged relapse may threaten to her future freedom. Eyewitnesses report, Kim was either on high on drugs or alcohol and Kim’s behavior was so ratchet, her daughter, Brooke, has cut all ties with her mother. Brooke vowed she won’t speak with her mom again.
Supposedly, Richards’ attorney was in the process of negotiating a plea deal in connection with her drunken rampage arrest in April. Earlier this month, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office moved to criminally prosecute the RHOBH star. Richards was formally charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a cop.
According to the Beverly Hills police department, officers responded to reports of a possible fight at approximately 1:30 am on April 16. Hotel security reported that an “intoxicated female” — Kim Richards — had caused a disturbance at a hotel restaurant and was asked to leave. While being escorted from the hotel, Richards asked to use the bathroom, then refused to come out, according to the police report.
Officers forced entry to the bathroom and promptly took Richards into custody shortly after 2 am. “Ms. Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest,” the police report indicated. After being transported for booking, police say, Richards “kicked one of the officers in the leg.” Richards was issued a citation and released. She’s due to appear at the LAX Superior Court on June 10.
Since being criminally charged, Richards’ attorney has been in talks with the DA to get his client off the hook, using her rehab staycation as leverage but her recent stint in Mexico may thwart all efforts,
“Kim would have had to successfully complete rehab, and the charges would have been dismissed,” an insider told Radar. “The Beverly Hills Hotel didn’t want to proceed with charges if Kim was getting help. With Kim relapsing, the deal is now on hold, and the D.A. will most likely want a much longer rehab stint in exchange for the charges being dropped.”
It’s beyond comprehension that Kim’s family would support her leaving rehab to attend a second (showy and unnecessary) wedding almost guaranteeing her relapse. And as if Kim’s troubles were not enough, reports claim Kim’s MIA somewhere in Mexico, leaving her friends and family worried.
“Friends have been frantically calling Kim since hearing she had fallen off the wagon. Everyone is very concerned about her. It seems like no one knows where she is,” an insider said.
