“Real Housewives of New Jersey” castmates have supposedly been guaranteed that season 7 filming will commence this fall with or without Teresa Giudice (inmate #65703-050).
Teresa Giudice currently sits in prison at the Danbury Correctional Facility, where she is serving out the remainder of her 15-month federal sentence on felony fraud charges. According to Confidenti@l, the earliest she may be released is by the end of the year, some several weeks after the show is expected to have resumed filming. A source tells the newspaper,
“They plan to start filming in November, which means they will be putting together story lines after the summer,” a source said. “Not everyone is coming back, and it is still a big question mark as to what they will do with the problem known as Teresa.”
Contrary to many reports, it’s still not certain if the 43-year-old Giudice inked a deal to return to the show next season. Also, Kathy Wakile and Jacqueline Laurita’s return are not certain either.
If and when Teresa returns, many of her scenes will have to be filmed at her residence given she’ll be under home confinement for a few months and strictly monitored by the Department of Probation through an electronic ankle bracelet. The source added,
“They want to make sure the cast is full of people connected to Teresa,” the source said. “Her relatives and her once-best-friend, Jacqueline, will help them tell the story of Teresa’s time away, and return home without looking like Bravo is making light of her crime. It will be more focused on family.”
Teresa has been imprisoned since January and is supposedly “well adjusted” and working in the kitchen. She’s allowed to exchange emails with her lawyer and family that are monitored by the prison and calls home for about 10 minutes each day.
Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice is expected to begin serving his 3.5 year prison sentence on similar fraud charges once his wife is released from prison.
