Joe Giudice Sentenced In DMV Identity Fraud Case

JoeGiudice

It was only a matter of time! After numerous postponements, Joe Giudice’s DMV identity fraud case is finally coming to a close.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star appeared in a Passaic County courtroom today to be sentenced. In October, Giudice pled guilty and accepted an 18-month plea deal for using his brother’s marriage and birth certificates to obtain a new license after he lost his because of a drunken driving conviction.

Today, Superior Court Judge, Adam Jacobs, ruled Giudice’s drivers license will be suspended for a duration of  two years and he has to pay a fine of $10,000.

Giudice will start serving his 18-month sentence in 2016 after his wife, Teresa Giudice is released from prison after serving her 15-month prison sentence. Joe’s prison term will be served concurrently, which essentially means, he will not serve any additional time to his 3.5 year federal prison sentence.

    Well that suxs! >(

    • Ilivehereandlikeit

The concurrent sentence really bugs me – wow, not much of a penalty.

      • twifan2

        EXACTLY!

like a slap on the wrist. >(

      • IKR. The concurrent essentially wipes out the sentence all together.

  • italiano bambino

IDk how people feel for this people. I just can’t they think they can get away with everything and take NO responsability for ANYTHING.

    • Babson_Chick

      exactly!!

  • Anne Green

Was is suspended immediately (effective today) or was he given 6 months to get his affairs in order?

    • twifan2

I think it is effective today. But not sure.

    • itsjustme

It was suspended exactly 1 hour from the time the judge sentenced him. The judge allowed him to drive from the court house to home. After that he’s without driving privileges.

  • WestCoastFeed

Evidently his lawyer tried to claim that Joe is destitute, but the judge saw that Extra interview and disagreed.

    • twifan2

At least the media did some good today! 🙂

    • Amen! Devine intervention….God works in deliberate ways.

  • WestCoastFeed

They’re back in the courtroom, but still arguing about his reporting date. The judge wants him reporting as soon as Teresa is released, no matter what that date is.

    • twifan2

Oh wow! That judge sounds pissed at Juicy’s lawyers’ shenanigans! 🙂

      • WestCoastFeed

And about that Extra interview. I wonder how the Feds feel about all of this? The magazine cover, plus the interview. Where’s Wendy? These recent antics appear to be boomeranging badly for the Juicy family.

        • twifan2

Maybe she’s back on her thread? The one of her broadcast yesterday.

        • MindStretch

What happened in the “EXTRA” interview?

          • WestCoastFeed

AAtT has covered it, just check the recent blogs she has posted.

          • twifan2

Can you post to her on the thread? Maybe she’ll respond then?

          • WestCoastFeed

            I just did.

          • twifan2

I was going to say, try her on Twit. She seems to be on there a lot.

          • WestCoastFeed

I’m not on twitter. That place scares me.

          • twifan2

            Don’t blame you, WCF.
            It’s a dark place. 🙁

          • Brattus Rattus

I read what you wrote but instead of Twit I read Twat. Totally different meaning in my head. Had to reread a couple times. LOL

          • twifan2

            😀
I have stop myself from typing Twat instead of Twit(my word for Twitter)!

          • twifan2
      • Babson_Chick

Joe the Mastermind!! (in his own mind that is)

    • T’s Martini Lounge

Would be great if he had to report tomorrow.

      • Anne Green

If he gets caught driving his car tonight…..that just might happen….

        • Babson_Chick

he’ll probably go home – get drunk – get caught

          • twifan2

            & get drunk some more…

          • Babson_Chick

            oh yes!

          • Anne Green

Exactly!! If he gets caught even sitting behind the wheel of a car this Judge can and I bet will, revoke his plea deal and remand him to the NJ Department of Corrections to serve his 18 month sentence.

          • colleen

            Yes, YEs and YES!

    • Jennymckitty

      Plot twist.

  • twifan2

OMG! Juicy needs to be muzzled! 😀
‘Joe also asks judge if he can move his vehicles around in the driveway. Judge says no.’

    • twifan2

‘Joe’s lawyer Miles Feinstein says Joe is ‘quite happy’ and that he ‘better be committed to not driving.’

    • Jennymckitty

It kinda makes you want them to get the show just to see how long it is until the cameras catch him driving.

      • twifan2

        IKR! 😀

  • Trippinhhard

I just want to thank U guys again for all the support and prayers. Big Sexy had his first doctors appointment, since his massive heart attack.. I thought I was going to lose what little mind I had left, but thank God he was in excellent shape.. Doc told him he’s doing remarkable and the damn fool went back to work, after being released from the hospital the next day… Love him, but I wanted to scream at him… But I did make him turn over his computer business to the kids to run, our son already does a great deal and U.S. VP.. But he so afraid his son will make mistakes….awwwww poor baby he made a lot in the beginning…now my FIL is in the hospital..always something, but you guys are the best… Thank you for listening to nothing but medical information… We have the same heart doctor, he looked at me and was shocked I’m still alive and living life to my fullest…

    • twifan2

That all sounds great, Trippin! 🙂
Love to you & yours! 🙂

      • Trippinhhard

Hey twifan2 thank u very much, I was so shocked when his friend, stop to get me, I was in my robe n underwears… I stripped in front of him and didn’t think twice, I was sorry, but I said U have seen a big ass and bust before, sorry, but I was too stunned. My husband needs to realize he got another chance to change his life for. The better.. No one thought he was going to make it.. Took 12 shots to even find his pulse, his chest is scarred, but he’s aluve and don’t look sick at all… I know we are blessed, mew all go thru things, but to me it’s how U live UR life.

        • Samra! So good to hear you and hubby are well.

        • twifan2

Live! Love! Laugh! Enjoy what you have & each other & others! 🙂

    • Norrth

I’m glad the news is good, The best to your family!

      • Trippinhhard

        Thank u Norrth

    • Jennymckitty

So glad to hear your husband is doing well.

      • Trippinhhard

        Thank u

    • Marsbars09

Hi Samra! I’m glad you and the hubby are doing well. However, I’m sorry about your FIL. Is he in ill health?
I wish you and your family peace and health.

      • Trippinhhard

He’s 86 and his legs are worn out, he worked at a plan for 30 yrs climbing 60-80 stairs several times a day He’s going in rehab for several months, but his spirits are good, he just happy to be alive.. Thank u

    • Brattus Rattus

I’m so glad to hear. Tell Big Sexy to pay attention to your wants, needs and desires! ;)Life is too short my love. Remind him of that everyday he pushes it too hard.

      • Trippinhhard

Brattus- he hates to take medication, but the doctor told him, if he quit smoking, he could live 30 yrs longer.. I already changed that shit before the heartattack, I’m first in this house from now on.. I’m putting my energy into myself. But he’s a good man.. Thank u

        • Brattus Rattus

I’m glad you are looking out for yourself but tell big sexy all the time that life is precious and not to throw it away for a pricy habit that is smelly and might also give him cancer. I don’t doubt for one second he’s a good man. That’s why he needs to quit and save himself and keep making you happy. If he ever wants to know what chemo or a death sentence is like, let me know. I never smoked a day in my life and I have lung cancer. I can tell him in detail how horrid it is. 86 or 26, not being able to breathe sucks. The picture in my avatar is me. Now. It’s painful. It’s scary. You cough up blood – and it’s only going to get worse. As long as you’re happy, keep doing you though. That’s always a good thing. 😉

    • MorningYawn

Xoxo glad the follow up went so well!

    • MidwestMiddie

Good Going!! …….Lots of love and a great deal of humor can be some
of the BEST “medicine for the entire family.

  • WestCoastFeed

Well, the judge did say he can drive home from court today, but that’s it.

    • twifan2

I missed that one, WCF. 🙁
I did see the one where the judge told him he couldn’t even move cars around in his own driveway. 😀
      https://twitter.com/VickiHy/status/583705402191282176

      • Jennymckitty

He’s like a child, isn’t he? Trying to see just how far he can stick his tone out of bounds before he gets into trouble.

        • twifan2

Cut it off, I say! 🙂

        • Marsbars09

          Mmm hmmm.

      • Marsbars09

Joe’s always trying to reach for that extra inch.

    • Marsbars09

Are you serious? His driving privileges should have been revoked STAT.

  • DSS

WOW he got off easy AGAIN!!!!

    • twifan2

      Yep! Basturd! >(

  • twifan2

I would’ve told Juicy, ‘Know what forget it! Jail! NOW! Forget the plea deal!’ >(
“If you so much as back down your driveway … that will constitute a
violation of the conditions of your release, of your bail, and it will
result in you being remanded immediately to Passaic County Jail,” Jacobs
    said.
Giudice let lawyer Miles Feinstein speak for him throughout most of
the hearing, but he did ask the judge if he would be allowed to drive
his four daughters to the end of the driveway to pick up the bus to
    school.
“I don’t know how long your driveway is …,” Jacobs said.
    Giudice: “It’s long.”
Jacobs: “I can’t have you driving a vehicle. Walk with them down the road.”

    • Anne Green

You know Twi, I bet the Judge would have loved to send him to jail today. If the Judge refused to accept the plea deal, they would have been be forced to go to trial. However, if Joe violates the terms of the plea deal by driving he can remand him immediately. I believe the Judge gave him just enough rope to hang himself.

      • twifan2

        I do too, Anne Green!
The year is still young! He might just go out & party hardy this Easter weekend & jailed by Monday! 🙂

        • Anne Green

I wouldn’t doubt it! I think that the Judge was making a point by mentioning Joe’s statement to the cop “what difference does it make? I can still drive without an effin license”. The Judge knows that Joe doesn’t believe that the motor vehicle laws of the State of New Jersey apply to him.

          • twifan2

IMO-it looked like the judge wanted Juicy’s statement on the court records. For added insurance, if Juicy screws up.

          • Anne Green

Exactly!! NJ.com’s article mentioned that it will be a hardship for him and that he will be relying on family, friends and co-workers to chauffer him and the girl’s around. Co-worker’s????? As in when one has a job…co-workers???

          • twifan2

Juicy’s probably glad he doesn’t have to drive the girls around.

I caught that too-‘co-workers’? Could that be code for ‘drinking buds’? :/

          • Anne Green

It’s definitely code for something. I cannot even imagine not being able to drive my car. He can’t go ANYWHERE alone now!! That in itself is justice!

          • twifan2

Just kill me now, if I couldn’t drive for any short/long period of time!
Too used to getting in my car & going!
Especially alone with my music on ‘make your ears bleed’ loud! 🙂

          • Atlanta Girl

He should try to be spokesman for Uber!

  • DSS

And as much as I wish it wasnt true but those pics of Joe and that girl are OLD. Look at him!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • twifan2

Juicy doesn’t care about him not having a license! He’s probably glad that he has to get ‘chauffeurs’ for his girls.
‘Jacobs said he was alarmed by a 2011 investigative report from a Passaic
County detective in which Giudice, confronted with the fraudulent
driver’s license, reportedly said, “What’s the difference? I would drive
anyway even if I didn’t have an effin’ license.” (Effin’ was not the
    word Giudice used, Jacobs noted.)’

    • Atlanta Girl

Wonder what penalties will be when he is caught driving? Since the judge acknowledged keeping up on the “gossip”.. kinda hope he gets caught soon.

      • twifan2

I posted below-2 down-what the judge told him if Juicy violated his release conditions.

    • Marsbars09

Joe is such an arrogant a-hole. I hope the government throws his sorry ass out of this country after he serves his sentence.

      • MidwestMiddie

        : )

  • twifan2

Looks like police keeping a close watch on Juicy now. 😉

    • Marsbars09

Oh Twi! We won’t have to worry about Joe getting behind the wheel for quite a while.

      • twifan2

        You sure about that Mars?
I’m not. he doesn’t care about not having a license.

        • Marsbars09

I’m talking about if he adheres to the law. If not, he’ll have to suffer the consequences.

          • twifan2

‘if he adheres to the law’ (

    • JerseyGirl830

OMG Twi, I almost choked on my juice…. You made me laugh so hard.

    • RonnieIsBack

      *Dead*
      I LOVE you Twi!

  • Marsbars09

YES!!! After all these years this f*cker is finally paying the consequences of his stupidity.
Joe is going to have a difficult life for the rest of his years. He will never re-pay the debt he owes his creditors. Maybe it’s best that this slimeball is deported to Italy once he’s released from prison.

  • WestCoastFeed

How much longer before Teresa allows Melissa to drive the girls to Danbury for their weekly visit? And will she make Melissa wait out in the car in the parking lot while she sees the girls?

    • RonnieIsBack

and then if caught he will place Milania behind the wheel.

  • ♥♥♥ Tigerlily ·.¸¸.·*¨·.·.¸¸.

He’s got what? 10 months before he has to report?
We all know he’s gonna drive. He basically, well now that I think about it, he actually said that he still doesn’t feel they did anything wrong.
He publicly stated that he & Tre are NOT criminals.

Only question is will get caught doing it?

    Juicy, to quote Indigo Montoya.
    http://futureisfiction.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/thatssotrue_3749_1331166173.gif

Just to be sure. This is the Webster’s dictionary’s definition of the word criminal.

    crim·i·nal
    ˈkrimənl
    noun
    1. a person who has committed a crime.
    “these people are convicted criminals”

synonyms: lawbreaker, offender, villain, delinquent, felon, convict, malefactor, wrongdoer, culprit, miscreant…

If you don’t understand that? Ask Milania to explain it for you. Maybe use it in a sentence or write a small essay.
    Here I’ll start.
My Mommy & Daddy are convicted criminals. They break the law, both State & Federal …

    • Jennymckitty

We should start a pool. How long before Juicy is caught driving?

  • T’s Martini Lounge

Juicy and Tre are career criminal grifters. He will drive tomorrow, probably drunk too. Hope he doesn’t take out any innocent people and just hits a big tree on his own. I am going to stay off the roads!

My crystal ball prediction: Tre will get out and commit more fraud. She won’t be able to afford that lifestyle anymore and will go back to her fraudulent ways. It will be a vicious cycle for both of them, and us, since we have to hear about their thieving antics every 5 minutes. You heard it here first!

  • Atlanta Girl

The irony that I keep getting served ads for bail bondsmen when I come to this article.

  • side of Sour Cream

Sad to say but there are probably quite a few tree huggers/ fame whores in his neck of the woods who would be more than willing to help him out. Lots of losers in this world who want to be fame-adjacent, no matter what type of fame it is.

  • TartLemon

Lucky for Joe, huh? Now he can party and completely shirk all adult responsibilities for his children without the time constraints. Somebody picks him up and they are the excuse for his being absent from home when the family needs him. No job, because he has no transportation. Can’t attend the kid’s extracurricular activities either.

The Judge did what needed to be done and should have happened LONG ago. Juicy will milk it and blame the Judge for everything now.

  • itsjustme

Anyone want to place bets on how long before someone snaps a picture of him behind the wheel? I give it 3 days(because I’m generous like that), after all it is a holiday weekend. I’m sure Atlantic City is calling his name so he can celebrate.

  • RonnieIsBack

    wow….he was lucky!
    NumbNutz
    that’s all I got.
