Brandi Glanville is weighing in on the epic drama that went down on this week’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and after struggling through the choppy rant, all I can think is…this chick wrote two books? I will spare you the discombobulated mess that is her blog this week, and try to communicate her points. Brandi is losing it over what she views as an ongoing pattern of hypocrisy, and out of control double standard acceptance within this cast. She claims that she has been routinely and unjustly judged for behavior that the others are let off the hook for. She strangely labels the two sides as ‘horrific’ and ‘acceptable’ in this sloppy diatribe.

“Jaws drop in stunned horror if I reply, ”I’ll knock your teeth out” (empty words thrown out when under verbal attack on RHOBH). Admittedly, not my greatest moment, but you try putting up with some of the “ladies” of Beverly Hills (or wherever they pretend to live). I will sincerely work on other ways to get crazy people yelling in my face to back up…”
“Tossing an inch of wine while “play acting soap opera” was worthy of pearl clutching and disgust usually reserved for when people find a mass grave. It’s called joking, horseplay, goofing, messing around. My intent was mischief. I was playing. It was misunderstood, but it’s not in the same league as violence.”

She asserts that Lisa Rinna’s glass slam, and Kyle’s arm grab were REAL acts of violence, not just stumbling, slurring threats, or a misunderstood moment of rascally dramatic fun.

“Digging your fingers into someone’s arm to forcibly push them out of your way or grabbing for someone’s throat in anger isn’t worthy of being condemned by the same group. No mention at all. As a matter of fact, after they regrouped and arranged their group spin, it was Kim’s and my fault that Rinna is a crazy, violent person who throws dangerous broken glass in people’s faces. You women are over half a century old. Own your behavior.”
“Reaching across a table to rip someone’s throat out with your nails, hurling a full drink with ice cubes in a face, and the best of all, purposefully smashing a large wine glass as hard as you can in the direction of my and Kim’s face wasn’t discussed at all.”

PLENTY of people are not condoning Lisa’s behavior. However, Brandi and Kim treat those around them abusively over and over and over, and the women ‘forgive and move on’ over and over and over. They are asked to be given understanding because of dozens of life circumstances, (a cheating hubby, single motherhood, a dying ex, full plates, weddings, boyfriends, broken parental relationships, pets, moves, trust issues, lawyer problems, broken bones, pain, pain, pain, PAIN!), and the cast gives breaks aplenty and attempts forward movement time after time.

RHOBH

Lisa Rinna has suffered huge losses due to addiction, and she was unfairly triggered during a sincere attempt to help an obvious wreck of an addict in need. Does she not deserve one break, and a little understanding, when she has not displayed a shred of this behavior thus far? Let’s not forget that she was sober during the incident, and not irresponsibly hammered and extra aggressive, simply due to a selfish addiction.

Brandi calls foul on her icky sex talk, cursing, and attempts at adult humor being considered gross, while the others can say anything that they want. I happen to dislike that yammer across the board, so I will give her that one. Lisa V especially annoys me with her trashy and unappealing quips. However, Brandi has a way of belching out garbage to shock, deliberately hurt, and to desperately grab at any shred of negative attention, which she has firmly established as her trademark shtick, making her especially tiresome.

Brandi compares her outing Kyle for smoking pot, to Kyle outing Kim as a raging alcoholic, a comparison that is so ridiculous. Brandi should be ashamed of herself for even thinking it. She blasts Kyle for being a narcissist, Lisa R for talking behind Kim’s back…. I will spare you the rest of the blathering commentary. Is resorting to violence wrong…I guess…but I would argue that Lisa Rinna was trying to ‘love’ Kim Richards more than anyone on this cast ever has. Brandi could learn a thing or two from her.
