Kenya Moore has been a controversial player in the unfolding and dramatic story line of Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida. During earlier episodes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Apollo took responsibility for spreading rumors, which falsely accused Kenya of an aggressive and targeted behind the scenes sexual pursuit.  The plot to disparage her character was surprisingly effective, proving that his con artist prowess was put to good dramatic use on the show, with much of the cast buying his story.

A character slaughter in the background has never stopped  Kenya from speaking her mind, and she continues to do so in her latest Bravo blog, where she weighs in on the dramatic scene between the couple, aired on last week’s episode. She begins by defending her right to have a voice, and points out Phaedra’s continuous efforts to thwart her credibility.

“I’d like to point out that Phaedra and one other laughed, taunted, and tried to demean and humiliate me about Walter and my African Prince. In fact, Phaedra took pride in and reveled in the demise of my relationships, challenges having children, and my relationship with my mother. Some viewers have selective memory when it comes to my history on this show. They would like to conveniently forget when she said, “You can’t turn a whore into a housewife,” and that was PRIOR to Apollo accusing me of propositioning him.”

Kenya reminds us that she has forgiven and moved on, and does empathize with the Nida children, as she shares her thoughts about the marriage drama that has unfolded on TV screens across America.

“It was very uncomfortable to watch them. No one wants to witness the demise of a marriage when there are children involved. Phaedra appeared unbothered, stoic, cold-hearted, and condescending. The truth is and remains that they each have said malicious and hurtful things to me to cause public humiliation and disrepute.”

Kenya explains why she empathizes more with Apollo, who is now sitting in a federal prison in Kentucky, and casts doubt on Phaedra’s dramatic claims that Apollo had been behaving in a threatening manner towards his family.

“I find myself more empathetic toward Apollo, because the difference between Phaedra and Apollo is that Apollo had the decency to apologize to me for what he had done to me. He showed contrition for his smear campaign and Phaedra has not. She is seemingly proud of what she did to me and has no remorse. Therefore, when I witnessed all the accusations about him threatening to burn the house down, having punched holes in the walls (which we did not see), and her mother stating she doesn’t want to come home and find “everybody dead,” it seemed to me like another one of her smear campaigns, thereby making it easier to defend the cheating allegations coming down the pike.”

Kenya nails Phaedra to the wall on her alleged pre-divorcee affair with a man identified via texts as “Mr. Chocolate”, and Apollo’s probable thoughts as he headed to the slammer.

“What I see without any manipulation is a man who is hurting, angry, and afraid that he will lose his children because Phaedra refuses to bring them to see him in prison and who also believes his wife has moved on with another man before the bed even got cold. By his account, his wife, who promised to be with him until death do them part, really meant until “Chocolate” do them part.”

Apollo is safely tucked away in a cell in Kentucky….could the finger of blame be pointing in a new direction, namely straight at Phaedra Parks? An affair accusation may be only the beginning, as Parks continues to squirm through a hard public sell of innocence, as this shady season rolls on.
