The details surrounding Bobbi Kristina Brown’s tragic condition continue to be uncovered, and as the family waits and prays for a miracle, sources continue to blab, and scenarios continue to be debated. The only encouraging sign, reported by many media outlets, has been some eye movement, and as gospel singer, and family friend Kim Burrell told the media, the family remains hopeful.

“We’re still not out of the woods. Her eyes did move a little bit last night,” Burrell explains, “We’re hoping that it’s just not a reflex. We’re hoping that it’s a conscious choice.”

Many questions remain unanswered, including what part drugs played in the tragic incident. Authorities found no drugs in their initial sweep of the home. TMZ is now reporting that Brown relatives are confirming that a second more comprehensive sweep did result in drugs being seized, although police will not confirm the claim.

As uncertainty remains, and worse case scenarios are explored, the inevitable question arises as to what would happen to Bobbi Kristina’s inherited fortune if she is not able to recover. After her mother’s tragic death in 2012, Bobbi inherited millions, and according to a new report, “Krissy” and her controversial husband Nick do not have a prenup, which would set him up to inherit the cash.

The fortune had been previously managed by Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law, but Bobbi Kristina has purportedly been in control of the funds since she turned 21. She and Nick married about a year ago, so now he stands to inherit her estate, allegedly against the family’s wishes. An earlier report asserted that Nick had been banned from his wife’s bedside, indicating that there is obvious family discord. Nick Gordon plays an eerily similar role in both Whitney’s and Bobbi Kristina’s dark and cryptic circumstances. He found both mother and daughter submerged in bathtubs, performed CPR on both, and has a history of drug involvement. Whitney and Bobbi Kristina share a history of substance abuse….hopefully the dark struggle currently playing out, ends differently.

  • I hope she pulls through. This would be most tragic if we lost both Whitney and Bobbi Kris almost in the same manner.

Nothing to do with this post, however, but BS, have you heard that some people are pinning the blame for Bobbi Kris overdosing on Angela Bassett? I was floored when I was reading tweets from people claiming that because the Whitney movie came out, it was somehow Angela Bassett’s fault. Um, no. It’s obvious as the day is long that Bobbi Kris was on drugs before Angela Bassett and the Whitney movie ever came around. Instead of looking for a scapegoat, people need to be fueling their energy into positivity, in hopes and prayers for a speedy recovery for her. SMH.

I agree, but somehow feel the Lifetime movie could have set off BK into a tailspin if she was already into drugs & depressed. But I don’t blame Bassett. So many are trying to cash in on other’s tragedies.

      • chacha1

addicts are always looking for an excuse

        • MidwestMiddie

What this young lady needed was serious/private counseling
and she has needed it for a long time – before her mother’s death.
While she may love her mother and her father, she should be
darn angry with both of them for raising her around their
          life-killing drugs.
While it’s true addicts usually look for excuses but what can one say to
a child raised around irresponsible drug-addicted parents? I
feel very sorry for Bobbi Kristina. If she is an addict and from
what I’ve read she is, then she has her parents to thank for it.

    • MorningYawn

But I read somewhere that BK auditioned for the movie and was upset she wasn’t cast to play her mom. Don’t have fine to find a link… Sorry

  • MidwestMiddie

Miracle Needed – and if one comes then it has to include this young woman being given
a second chance which should mean her walking away from most of the people she has known all of her life. She has has a messed up life for a long, long time and those around her
most likely have not been helping her at all.

    • Babson_Chick

I agree with you – just so sad. From stories in the past it doesn’t seem that she was happy. Not sure I’d trust her hubby.

      • MidwestMiddie

        Agree …….. and her father?????????
        Yikes!!

        • Babson_Chick

Yes – she had a lot against her.

  • ButterflyArtGuild

I had read a rumor that they were not legally married. But a lawyer must have had her set up a will. She is so young! She did not probably have good advice from people.

    • twifan2

Could it had been a ‘common law’ marriage maybe?

  • twifan2

And this was the guy that showed up at the house with her husband.
Maxwell Byron Lomas is the one named in an incident report as one of the people police encountered when they responded to a drowning. Fulton County Jail records revealed Lomas was arrested as recently as Jan. 14 and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Alprazolam and possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.

This whole incident gets more convoluted every day. It’s just so sad!

    • misstc

Alprazolam is generic of Xanax – Brandi’s fav.

      • twifan2

Maybe he ‘knows’ Brandi too? :/

    • Guardian

Oh crap. This is all so creepy and suspect.

      • twifan2

        Very suspicious! :/

        • Guardian

How is this child suppose to know who really loves and cares for her when so much money is involved? It invites the worst for the most vulnerable.

          • twifan2

It’s a bad situation all around her & within herself. 🙁
            She needs help from/for herself.

          • Guardian

Indeed twi. All such a mess and I wonder if we’ll ever really know what the truth is. I hope she pulls through but don’t know what her level of function – mentally or physically – will be.

          • twifan2

She’s going to need a whole lot of love & help if she does pull thru. Just hope her family can do that for her?!
It’s going to be a lot of he said, she said no matter what happens. We’ll never know the whole actual ‘truth’.

          • TGIP>>Now That’s Mister Darcy

            Let’s get more basic.
A child raised in a setting of wild drug abuse, physical and emotional and verbal abuse has a template of that type of behavior to demonstrate how s/he should both expect to be treated but also how to treat others.
To put it in baseball terms, this girl had 2 strikes and a fast pitch coming in, that was aimed at her head. She had absolutely no real chance to be “normal” after being raised in that environment. In her case, she’s still entrenched in an adolescent brain/mindset. She had no ability to make adult decisions that would be considered dignified, respectful or viable. She didn’t have a chance of making it with any kind of real grasp of normalcy beyond her mid twenties.
People seem to think that she was able to make adult decisions, which was a ridiculous belief at best. The true responsibility for the not yet recognized death of this child lies with her family members and their complete inability to think beyond their own adolescent value system of thinking patterns. All of them, including her deceased mother, have had a major hand in the current disposition of this “adult child”.

            That’s just plain logic!

          • Bad Barbie

            Perfect.

    • Chloe

Nick and this drug dealer probably conspired to hurt Bobbi.

      • Penny J

The guy was her ex boyfriend

  • chacha1

I read that Bobbi Kristina and Nick never got married … no records can be found hmmmm

    • twifan2

As I asked before. could it have been a ‘common law’ marriage?
That would be legal in Georgia.

      • chacha1

could be I guess …. being that they were constantly referring to themselvs as brother and sister …. some legal loopholes would sure give Bobby Brown some leverage in protecting his daughter

        • twifan2

I wonder if he ‘approved’ of her ‘husband’?

          • Penny J

            No he doesnt

      • Bad Barbie

What wouldn’t be legal is underage kids married/common law with no parental consent.

    • twifan2

Does he really have a ‘restraining’ order against him by Pat Houston? Even as her common law husband, he has the right to be by her side.

  • Bad Barbie

Ok, are we rewriting history now? Nick didn’t find Whitney. Her hair dresser and bodyguard did. And there were no drugs involved, according to many reputable news outlets.
