Gia Giudice “Playing Mother” To Her Siblings While Jailbird Teresa Serves Prison Sentence

Gia Giudice RHONJ

Gia Giudice, daughter of felon and star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” has been filling big shoes in the Giudice household since her mother’s incarceration on January 5.

New reports are surfacing that Gia Giudice, 14, is stepping up in a major way to take care of her three younger sisters, Gabriella, (10), Milania, (8) and Audrianna (5) while their mother’s serving her 15-month sentence at FCI-Danbury.

An insider tells InTouch Weekly,

“Gia is stepping into the mother role. It comes naturally since even when Teresa was around, Gia was frequently responsible for disciplining her siblings.”

The insider also dished that Gia has always had,

“More of a friendship than a mother-daughter relationship” with Teresa. And the word so far on dad, Joe Giudice — the brains behind their new reality — is that he’s “Trying his hardest to do what’s best for his daughters.”

This is going to be a “character building” year for Gia. It’s like being on a dance team that loses every tournament. The upside is you learn how bad you want something. Maybe Gia will learn how badly she wants to be in 3KT. Maybe she’ll learn becoming the family lawyer is a better path. Just think if Teresa had experienced a year like Gia, oh how different life would be!

No one would disagree with that. But tell us what you think. Is there a chance that Gia could benefit from her grim circumstances? Or will this scar the Giudice children forever?

These stories are becoming more and more absurd. “LOOSES every tournament” Really!! Where are the proof readers ?

    • Bad Barbie

I just find these “sources” suspect. Who are they that they have sooooooooo much time to keep on leaking stories to the press. Let’s say it is not anyone from them immediate family, yeah I dont blame them to not want anyone around to help. Look at all the stuff that a “source” leaks. I think half of this bs is fabricated, even by the outlets reporting it. That goes to many other celebs as well. I doubt these people want such stories about them being leaked just for publicity. I mean then KKK is a special KASE though.

While I believe that children are resilient, I feel bad that Gia has to take on a full parental role. I think it’s very selfish of Teresa and Joe to put Gia in that situation. For Gia to help out is fine and if there were no other options, than they would have to deal with it, but the reality is there are other options. There are so many family members that are willing to step up and help out but again, because Teresa and Joe are selfish, they are not allowing those family members in and Gia has to suffer from those decisions. I’m all for Gia helping and agree it will help with character building, I just disagree that she should be “Mom” for 15 months.

I seriously think Tre is afraid for her dorters to be around the other family members cause of all things she has probably said about them and is afraid the girls are going to tell them what she said..its the only thing that makes any sense

I agree with DLister that the oldest tend to take on the 2nd in command role in families – usually not because one or both parents are in prison mind you. What concerns me is that her report of the visit is “glowing.” Seems like the family tradition of denial is being handed down. It’s too bad she can’t say, “This sucks.” It’s also too bad that it appears other family members are not being allowed to help much, if at all – not because they are incapable but because the parents don’t want it. Too much risk that the girls might discover that all of the negative things they have heard about family and friends might not be true.

Hi Mommy! I think Gia needs to focus on being a teenager. The raising of the children is now the responsibility of her father. It’s up to Joe to seek help on caring for the girls, not place it on Gia’s young shoulders.

  • DLister

The eldest child does tend to take on some type of authority and leadership over the younger ones. I’m the baby and still listen to my eldest brother whom I still look up to and love so much!

Hope Gia and her sisters are faring well.

    • Bad Barbie

Yep, even when both parents are the prime example of “excellence”. Older siblings tend to be the leader of the squad. It will be a bit odd if they didn’t take some sort of role model role.

  • Poor Gia. I really do feel sorry for the girls, especially Gia, knowing the weight she carries on her shoulders.

  • She Stinks!

A teenager should not have to do this.

She should be a teenager, not a substitute mother because he own mother failed. Where are all the other adults? Why hasn’t that drunkard Juicy stepped up and be mother and father? Typical selfish parents.

    • Bad Barbie

      I agree.

There are a lot of teenagers with both parents at home playing mommy roles too though. Irks me but it is real.

    • Marsbars09

Thank you! Gia and her sisters need a strong mother figure in their lives.

When I was fresh out of nursing school I briefly worked pediatrics. I was 20, unmarried & naive. An older nurse told me to watch the moms starting Thursday. A lot of them would start pushing to have their children discharged by Friday. They didn’t want their husbands to be at home alone over the weekends. I think that is why Teresa is so adamant that Joe shoulder the responsibility of caring for the girls. If family was there, it would be easier for him to live a bachelor’s life.

  • MidwestMiddie

Gia will be popping up on reality gossip sites for the next 15 months. Why? She has her musical girl group to promote. Her mother has taught her well. Gag!!!!

    • Bad Barbie

I wonder if it is her choice to pop up in articles or if these “sources” just can’t leave this family alone.

      • MidwestMiddie

I sincerely doubt Gia was forced to appear on “Access Hollywood.”

        • Bad Barbie

          You said gossip sites.

          • MidwestMiddie

True …… I consider “Access Hollywood” to be a gossip site. You may or may not agree with me.
IMO, Gia will take any press she can get.

      • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

OR…Maybe it’s part of the “contract” the Giudice family has with some of these “media” folks (US, ROL, etc.). You know, to keep her name in the forefront so that Teresa doesn’t fade into the convicted fame monger role that SHE actually IS, who deserves NO coverage at all.
Let her dry up and get blown away with a breeze like the dusty tumble-WEED that she is. Then, maybe she will get down to work somewhere to pay off her debts… when her butt gets released from PRISON!

  • cait

I read that Gia was spending all her spare time practising with her band for an upcoming album/video ?

  • colleen

Gia is an expert at how to treat a hang over(Juicy’s). I smell a book coming

  • Bad Barbie

Doesn’t life put all of us through situations to learn and grow from them? Some of us don’t and some of use are built from bad experiences. It makes us who we are, whether that is “Strong” or “Weak”. Only time will tell what this experience will do to this family. Not 2 members may learn the lesson or change for the better, but we don’t know that. We can just assume…

These people may be on TV, broke the law, etc but they are not the only ones on the planet that are going through trials & tribulations that they can’t overcome. There are millions of people with greater issues than these idiots believe it or not. Life is not over till you’re dead.

    • MidwestMiddie

Agree. I’ve never read where anyone in the Giudice family has ever considered the hardships experienced by Teresa’s and Joe’s victims.

  • cait

This is all Hoo-Hah to show the parole board what a loving family they are and how the lovely dorters are suffering without Mommy Dearest ! Gia doesn’t seem to like her sibs much as she won’t even let them in her room !

  • Marsbars09

Gia is too young to be mothering her baby sisters. Gia is only 14 years old. She needs a strong, maternal female figure to guide her.

  • WestCoastFeed

Dani, Gia was interviewed on ENews last night. They have put a video of her appearance on-line. I thought the E in ENews would stand for Entertainment. I was wrong. It stands for Exploitation. Sigh!

    • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

Gawd… this family is like a communicable disease and there may not be a vaccine for at least a couple of years or more.
      Arrrrgghhhhhh….

      • WestCoastFeed

It is going to be the Kardashians Redux.

        • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

          Yep, it probably is.
Just what the world needs…another family of sub-intelligent girls and women who expect to get a lot of money paid them for doing absolutely nothing.

  • WestCoastFeed

Gia said visiting her mother in prison was “fun,”

  • bellaboo

Gia will be talking to anyone who will pay the big $$, and i guarantee, she will never say anything negative no matter what. She is her mothers dorter, and has learned to always deceive anybody who will listen. Plus tg wants to make sure to keep the giudice name in the public. Tg mind is always churning to make sure we the public doesnt forget her or her family. I mean seriously does anybody really think gia will be honest?? Hell no!!!! That whole family makes me disgusted, because tg is teaching gia all of her tricks. So sick of those convicted felons. They are nothing but criminals and will always be criminals!!!!!!!!

  • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

    1. How long do you think that it will last that the younger sisters actually listen to Gia?
    2. When do you think it will come up that Gia gets cornered by all of her sisters and then there’s a revolt?
    3. How soon do you think it will be for Gia to threaten to run a way because that crap is breaking into her “personal” life?
    4. How often do you think that Joe will be on his drunk run away, while he leaves Gia to be the mom/dad/adult.
    5. What do you think it will be like when Teresa returns and then Gia doesn’t want to stop being the “little mommy” that expects her little sisters to follow Gia’s rules?

    • twifan2

Don’t forget that once Tre is out Juicy goes in!
So, Gia will still be playing mommy because Tre will have to go out & reclaim(?) her ’empire’! 😀

      • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

        Good one!

        • twifan2

          🙂
We have to look for all the contingencies. 😉

          • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

YEP. And there’s a bucket load of them and adding more on the list!

          • Raine Woman

            Are contingencies anything like ingredienteses?

          • twifan2

            kinda. Sorta. 🙂

    • Raine Woman

      1. Another week, at the most.
      2. The week after.
      3. One month, tops!
      4. Daily
      5. A normal day in the life of a Giudice.

      • TGIP>>STHU NenePhaedraBrandi

We are SOH on the same page!

  • WestCoastFeed

E News says part 2 of their Gia interview will air tonight. More exploitation? I guess Gia knew upfront that she would have to answer questions about her mother if she wanted the program to promote her girl group.
