Word has leaked that the producers of “Real Housewives of New York” have gone behind Bethenny Frankel’s back and asked estranged ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, to appear on the show. The showing is filming right now and insiders are claiming that Bethenny has “failed to deliver the drama” so producers thought it necessary to revive the NY series by injecting her venomous divorce into the fray.

Radar Online is reporting,

“The scenes Bethenny has filmed with the other ladies have been rather boring, and producers have been disappointed. Bethenny wasn’t consulted about the proposal because she would have been livid.”

And rightly so. Watching scenes between Bethenny and Jason would be about as much fun as watching a root canal. If this is true, producers need to realize that fans recognize the difference between manufactured drama that totally lacks hope and organic drama that offers possibility (with a drink!).

The good news is Jason reportedly “turned it down flatly because he wants nothing to do with the show ever again!” Yay! If there’s anything to celebrate in this messy divorce it’s that these two agree Jason shouldn’t be on the show.

And what do you mean Bethenny isn’t bringing the drama? We here at All About The Tea don’t believe that. Since her departure from the show in 2010, Bethenny’s resume and bank account have sky-rocketed. She is officially the “Most Likely to Succeed” girl. There will be plenty of drama with the other ladies, plenty of conflict, plenty of issues, as long as there’s plenty of Pinot Grigio.

Andy Cohen is coming to Bethenny’s defense and dismissing any reports that Bethenny has disappointed the network. On a recent episode of @sk Andy he said, “But it’s a total lie! You should never believe stuff that comes out when we’re shooting the show. Because it’s usually 90% wrong.”
