A luxury car dealership in New Jersey is under fire for ripping off customers, and a female reality star is among the casualties. ABC Eyewitness News is reporting that the Emporio Motor Group in Ramsey, New Jersey, is being accused of selling traded in vehicles and pocketing the cash, without paying off loans or arranging for titles to be sent for the replacement vehicles. Mike DeStefano, a 24 year old mechanic, is one of the customers trying to get answers from owner Bobby Khan, after he noticed that the car he traded in had been sold, but his $16,000 loan was never paid off.  He also has not received the title for the Harley Superglide that he bought in the deal.

The plot has thickened as a female reality star is speaking out against the dealership, claiming that she too, was burned.

“He’s a smooth operator, all flash and no cash.” This reality TV star says she was rooked by Emporio Motor Group too:

“I don’t want or need the money, its about justice for all here and i have to help these people,” she said. “I don’t know how he’s getting away with it.”

This reality star claims that the car she consigned to Emporio Motor Group was sold and she was never paid in full. She, along with other unhappy customers are looking for justice, and the Ramsey, NJ Police Department has stepped in.  While the state of New Jersey has suspended the dealership’s license to operate, an official investigation has not yet been confirmed, and Emporio’s owners, as well as their attorneys have not commented. This is not the dealership’s first brush with ‘reality’ as the owner posed with the cast of Jersey Shore at his grand opening, an event where Chris and Jacqueline Laurita were also in attendance.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars, Joe and Melissa Gorga also appeared in a ridiculous scene with an Emporio representative earlier this season, where they discussed blinging out their new shredder on wheels business.  The Gorgas also called on Emporio for their rented Bentley, which has also been featured on the show.

They’ve also tweeted with the owner of Emporio, Bobby Khan when he supplied them with a lamborghini for the show.

RHONJ

I am sure that as astute readers, you caught the ‘star’ slipping in that she doesn’t want OR need the money, she just desires justice, and to come to the aid of the poor, cheated peasants.  I’ll wait for us all to collectively roll our eyes.  This is a sure sign of  phony wealth.. the truly affluent don’t take being stolen from kindly, and are not afraid to say that they want their money back. It’s no surprise that the woman is likely from Jersey, the land of  broke folks borrowing or stealing to pull off opulent masquerades.  Her identity has not been revealed, but I am sure that you all have your guesses!  Take a stab at it in the comments below!
