Sad news to report, a new report suggests, Teresa Giudice may receive “house arrest” at her October 2 sentencing on fraud charges.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star and convicted felon pled guilty to felony wire, mail, loan application fraud and perjury in March. Teresa and her hubby, Joe Giudice, stole over $5 million from numerous banks. They are scheduled to be sentenced on October 2.

Joe Giudice faces a recommended sentence of 37 to 46 months, while Teresa Giudice faces up to 27 months. However, a source tells Us Weekly:

“She will probably get house arrest.”

Teresa’s attorney seems to also think his client may get house arrest and Joe will bear the brunt of prison time for both:

“We’re hoping Teresa does not go to jail. The great likelihood is that Joe will get some jail time…It’s just a matter of how long.”

If this happens, justice has not been served.

    a ‘source’..who in advance knows the judge’s thinking?..I don’t know about this..

    • Exactly! The source is probably Wendy Feldman.

  • twifan2

It’s PROBABLY more likely house arrest AND prison time.
I have a feeling Tre is NOW starting to sweat it!

15 more days to go! 🙂

    • BuckJohnson

I agree, that judge is going to give her some prison time. Because I think he or she wants to send a message to Teresa. And that is your not so motherly you can’t go to jail. She won’t admit to her doing a crime but mistakes etc. etc., no this woman needs a few months in prison and then the rest of the sentence at home as house arrest with an ankle bracelet. Oh here’s something to think about also, if she is selling the house and the toms river house where will she live at? For her to have a place for house confinement she has to have a residence and the court will say but your selling your houses because of your debtors do you have a house now? And she don’t as far as we know. She just can’t say I get house arrest and then look for a place for the arrest, no way.

      • twifan2

There are such places as ‘half way’ houses for Tre to be placed in/at.

        • WestCoastFeed

Imagine a half way house accepting Milania!!

          • twifan2

uuh nope, WCF. Milania will have to stay with whoever is taking her in.

  • WestCoastFeed

What house will she be confined to? The mansion and the shore house are both up for sale. I think the building with the apartment over the pizzeria was lost to foreclosure. Maybe Dina will take her in. Dina takes in strays. Oh, no, Dina is divorcing and has to leave that house. I guess it will be up to Caroline to take her in.

    • RealitytvJunkie

I clearly remember Teresa saying that she could NEVER walk on anything but new floors. Her homes for sales is another con game. No buyers bank will appraise her home for $4 million, unless someone buys her home for cash and don’t care if the house appraises for $2 million less than they’re paying.

    • Jennymckitty

How serious can they be about selling when the list price is over 3X the appraised price? They are either doing this for sympathy or to delay sentencing.

      • Sue Shore

The shore house is overpriced also. It’s is in an area that had extensive damage from Sandy. Most houses are required to be raised or they will be condemned or if they are not in that flood zone requirement, they will either have to raise the house or risk not being able to get flood insurance or it would be exorbitant. From the looks of the house’s exterior is don’t look like it could be raised so it’s a tear down so it’s only worth the land it’s on, which is about $150,000.

        • WestCoastFeed

Aha, that’s why so many of the houses on her street are valued at around $150K. They are only worth the land that they are sitting on. Thanks for that information.

  • twifan2

Ratings aren’t really dropping, but still aren’t what they used to be. :/
REAL HSWIVES OF NJ BRVO 1827=1.8 million 0.8

    • WestCoastFeed

I am surprised it got that many viewers. It was mostly filler footage sandwiched between Amber’s Ash Wednesday gaucherie and Teresa’s attempt to do damage control in advance of the Florida trip.

      • twifan2

I’m thinking people thought something else was supposed to happen. Bravo’s been screwing with editing so much, the whole season is messed up time-wise that is. 0.o

        • WestCoastFeed

You’re right. People thought that the Bravo’s Mid Season Preview was a preview for the next episode. When, in reality it was a preview for the remaining episodes in the season.

          • twifan2

OT, Drunkmona is starting to sound like Jill Z to me:

            Ramona Singer @ramonasinger
@Teresa_Giudice I love the moment on #RHONJ with you and your daughter Gia in the car on the way to school. So special! =)

Yes ‘so special’-no seat belts on, mom driving with one hand on the wheel, no child restrainer for Audriana!
            smdh! >(

          • WestCoastFeed

What were the producers thinking, allowing them to be filmed without seatbelts?

          • RealitytvJunkie

            Yep, no seatbelt noticed.

  • Shaneka Johnson

Love n Hip Atlanta ratings where over 3 million viewers each episode, this season.RHONJ ratings should be at least 3 million.

    • twifan2

Not with the cast they have on now.
      BORING as used dishwater. :/

      • Jennymckitty

I can’t decide if they are boring or if I just don’t care for them.

        • twifan2

Maybe a bit of both, Jennymckitty. 😉

    • Chloe

RHONJ is boring that’s why. At least LHHATL is full of excitement and drama.

  • WestCoastFeed

From Bravo’s previews, it doesn’t look like the great Florida confrontation will be happening on this Sunday’s episode, either. We get the return of Jac, Amber’s cancer diagnosis, some early scenes in Florida including Dina probably giving away too much.

It’s beginning to look like we will get 12 episodes this year. Unless they can stretch the Florida trip out to 3 episodes. In that case, it will go to 13.

    • RealitytvJunkie

I read on another blog the Florida episodes will be 3 episodes.

      • WestCoastFeed

Bravo will want to hype it as much as possible. So, I guess we’ll get 2 episodes of dramatic build-up. And then the explosive scene with Jim and the twins.

        • RealitytvJunkie

I suspect you’re right. Bravo has created a boring season and the affair saved them.

  • Bonita Gee

Well I’m sure Teresa have plans to buy another place to live after she sells her house. Obviously she HAS TO DOWNSIZE, seeing what she’s in trouble for. ……… Then on the other hand, she’ll HAVE TO still have a place to stay for house arrest and for her 4 daughters to live.
At least she’ll still be with her kids, that’s what REALLY matters.

    • RealitytvJunkie

I don’t think she has the “credit” to buy anything. I get the feeling her name is dirt with the banks. I can she her renting a small mansion for $10k a month.

    • Chloe

Why do you sympathize with a criminal? Teresa is good at convincing people she’s a victim with kids but she’s no victim. Don’t fall for her “why is this happening to me” act. Don’t fall for it.

      • Bonita Gee

OMG!! How people figure I’m sympathize with her?? I’m only stating the facts, like the above story. The FACTS that everyone will have to accept and come to TERMS WITH. Everyone will have to come to terms WITH HER GETTING HOUSE ARREST IF THAT’S WHAT THE COURTS DECIDE!! Damn!
AND I’m commenting on the FACT that she’ll HAVE to prepare for her HOUSE ARREST!

        • twifan2

But those aren’t ‘facts’. We won’t know the actual ‘facts’ until Oct 2, after her sentencing. The story is just reporting speculations from a ‘source’.

          • Bonita Gee

right – no one KNOWS THE FACTS. But it is a POSSIBILITY. And IF the courts decide to give her HOUSE ARREST…. then people will have to DEAL WITH IT!
And NOT BE SO DAMN EMOTIONAL about it.

          • twifan2

WELL STOP POSTING IN CAPITALS! 😀

          • RonnieIsBack

            LMAO!!!!!!!

        • RealitytvJunkie

Are you saying you’re not a TreHugger that sympathizes with Teresa? I’ve read your comments and they all tell me you are. And the only one getting emotional here is you. When you type in caps it’s tells readers you’re screaming and screaming is a sign of anger. Anger is an emotion.

  • Agstisme

If she does get house arrest, a requirement is full time employment. I wonder if the Court will allow her to continue filming for Bravo. Should be interesting. I think house arrest would set a precedent for future frauds. She really should get a split sentence. Martha Stewart did.

    • WestCoastFeed

And the terms for Martha’s house arrest included no filming.

      • Anne Green

Ahhh…I didn’t know that!!! Thanks for that tidbit WCF.

        • WestCoastFeed

And, Martha violated the terms of her house arrest by wandering over to a nearby location so she could attend a yoga class. The courts extended her sentence. Martha said house arrest was “hellish”

          • Anne Green

My theory is that they will get consecutive sentences. She will see 2 to 4 months in prison with the remainder under house arrest. Once she is released from prison, he will begin serving his time. His convictions are a little more impressive than hers but I don’t think she will get off so lightly. I believe the Judge will have compassion for the children being a female herself. I don’t know if she is a mother.

    • Chloe

Full time employment may consist of her Fabalini signings and book signings.

    • Jennymckitty

If they do, the court needs to drive her to the reunion and have Andy hand them her check to distribute.

      • RonnieIsBack

Hell I will drive her to the reunion and collect that check LOL.

  • WestCoastFeed

Melissa and Joey would take them in should Tre get house arrest.

  • Marsbars09

Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tre got house arrest. I think that’s why the sentencing keeps getting delayed, her attorneys are working hard to keep her ass out of prison.

    • Jennymckitty

Mars, at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a Presidential Pardon and had a ticker-tape parade in her honor.

      • WestCoastFeed

Yes, a parade with Leotard Boy and Turquoise Boy as drum majors leading the band. Perfect.

      • cutie pie

        lol

      • RealitytvJunkie

This is the funniest thing I’ve read about Teresa. And I agree. She may be Italian but she has the luck of the Irish on her side. I have a feeling we’ll never see justice when it comes to her.

    • twifan2

      EXACTLY Mars! 🙂
“working hard to keep her ass out of prison” <-She'll get prison time no matter how long they try & delay sentencing.
BUT to me, Juicy is looking stressed out. He needs to get this over with!

      • WestCoastFeed

I think Juicy has been resigned to his fate for some time now. Was he shown at all in the last episode? Will we see him again before the season ends?

        • Jennymckitty

I think I saw him in a pic of the finale but I could be wrong.

  • Susie Whats Her Name

I wonder if she has the $200,000 she’s suppose to have for the court on October 2? Does Joe also have to pay $200,000? If she/they don’t have it, what happens?

    • WestCoastFeed

The judge just ordered her to pay that fine on or before sentencing date. From what I understand, if it isn’t paid on time, then it is off to the pokey for her.

      • RealitytvJunkie

So there’s a likelihood it’s paid already but I’m hoping for the latter.

        • WestCoastFeed

Yep, it could already be paid. Even if it hasn’t, we still won’t see a perp walk. No cameras in the court room. I guess what they would do is sneak her out the back door while the cameras are all lined up on the courthouse steps waiting for the lawyers to pontificate.

      • RonnieIsBack

Which is why she is showing a good faith act by placing her homes on the market…

  • WestCoastFeed

Bravo’s Sunday schedule lists this week’s episode as 8 to 9:30. That could be an error, but it usually means that a special WWHL will run immediately after the show airs. Will Teresa be interviewed?

  • TartLemon

Won’t be so bad if house arrest is in a cramped 2 bedroom apartment. Teresa’s not selling the houses by choice, but by order.

  • Jennymckitty

OT…has anyone heard how Nan is doing?

    • WestCoastFeed

Not yet. But this is a great time for all of us to send her healing thoughts and prayers. She should be recovering from the anesthesia about now, although I am sure sedated for the pain.

Love, you, nan. Heal quickly, please.

      • Anne Green

I wish her well. I didn’t really know to much about her other than she was due to have surgery soon. ‘Whatever surgery it was, I’m hopeful that it was a success and wish her the most speediest recovery.

      • RonnieIsBack

Sending healing prayers her way as well!!!

      • Sending positive thoughts , love, hugs & kisses to Nan.

    • Wendy Owen

      Luke 8:50
Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” (NIV)

    • Nothing yet…..I’ve been wondering how everything went today. I hope we hear from her soon.

  • RonnieIsBack

it will be just too too shocking if Tre gets jaiiltime…I wonder is it an election year for the judge?

    • WestCoastFeed

She’s an appointed Federal judge. She doesn’t stand for election.

      • RonnieIsBack

I worked for a federal judge, who was appointed by the President (Obama) and confirmed by the Senate so I understand the “lifetime appointment” , however not all federal judges are appointed by the Prez and/or confirmed by the senate..ex. BANKRUPTCY JUDGES. I haven’t followed Tre and Juicy’s case super closely..but based on that fact, this is why I posed the question. Im not even sure if they are going before a bankrupcy judge at this point or if the bankrupcy fraud charges are lumped into the other allegations and thus were removed and will be before this new judge…I need to research their case.
I just know they are guilty and they pled guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
        Thanks WCF

    • I wonder if the judge and that senator are friends….hmmmm!!!

      Hey boo! 🙂

      • RonnieIsBack

        Hey boo!

  • RonnieIsBack

IF Martha Stewart had to do jail time…so should Teresa…..

    • September24

I think Martha obstructed justice whereas Teresa has not.

      • WestCoastFeed

Martha was guilty of insider trading and then of lying about it.

        • September24

i just did a quick look on cnn and martha did go to trial and was found guilty of obstructing justice and lying. i don’t know the norm sentence for Teresa’s charges and plea deal. hmm……

          • WestCoastFeed

It is similar in that they both are indicted for perjuring themselves. Teresa’s big lies are in her bankruptcy case. I have no idea what normal sentences are either. What the news stories have been saying are potential sentences given the sentencing guidelines the Federal courts go by.

          • Jennymckitty

If Martha had just answered the Fed’s questions truthfully the first time they asked and thrown her broker under the bus she wouldn’t have gotten anything. That’s who they were after. Her sentence would have been lighter if she had pled.

          • WestCoastFeed

Yes, and that does lead me to wonder if Teresa will get a lighter sentence because she pled?

          • Jennymckitty

I’ve wondered that as well, however by pleading a large portion of her charges were dropped.

      • RonnieIsBack

Fraud is fraud and lying is lying…both were guilty.
Tre copped a plea..that is the difference.
She is still no better than Martha..she is on the lines of the tool that snitched on Martha (her former broker and daughter’s ex boyfriend).
        Tre is like Apollo.
I have no sympathy for her because until she and Juicy were actually caught, they would have kept on defrauding…
Go to Jail…Do not Pass Go
        Go DIRECTLY TO JAIL.

  • September24

If house arrest is the norm type sentence then so be it. If it isn’t then all heck will break loose in NJ!

  • WestCoastFeed

Oh, good, I think someone is smirking at Jim Marchese for typing “repertoire” when he meant “repartee.” IQ 12

    • Agstisme

I’m sure it must have been “auto correct’s” fault…lol

      • WestCoastFeed

Oh, silly me. Why didn’t I think of that? He is such an intellect that he would never make such an error. IQ 13

  • TopGear

If Teresa gets house arrest, I’m protesting Bravo and the judge.

  • Mj

I find it more criminal that justice system in New Jersey would even entertain anything but jail time and fines. I want to know what sentence an “average” citizen, not on television, would receive for all the illegal acts committed by Joe and Teresa . One huge point of contention is the cry for their children. My stance, I will care about Joe and Theresa’s children as much as they did when they were committing their crimes. They need to embrace the outcomes of their decisions good and bad.
