Married to Medicine

As we dive head first into this latest episode of Married to Medicine, we join Dr. Simone getting into serious negotiations  on the family vacation with her two sons, Miles and Michael.  The boys votes are luxury vaca spots like Dubai and Bahamas.  Dr. Simone, trying to deflect the financial truth suggests Six Flags.  The boys abruptly upon mommy walking out the door, don’t believe a financial issue, but suggest mom doesn’t want to take them. Dr. Simone clearly is suffering financial problems due to an incentive electronic filing system for her patients. This problem seems to be seeping into all areas of her life right now. I  personally feel that this financial issue is a passing storm she must endure to be stronger and wiser.

Next we go to shopping without a price tag session with Toya and her interior designer FeliciaToya reports that her family has fallen in love with a new home, to which they put a deposit down for the home in the amount of $50,000.  Even before the banks approval, Mrs. Toya is out shopping to furnish said house.  Toya feels like she wants her home totally fabulous by the time they walk in.  This 9,000 square feet home is clearly something Toya wants to turn into the families showcase.  Thankfully Felicia prevents Toya from buying too many items cowhide covered.

Lisa Nicole brings reality to reality in the next scene, and is now in the emotional throws of a possible Cancer diagnoses. Lisa Nicole has a good outlook saying  “If I do  have Cancer, I have big fight ahead me and I am going to need a positive mental attitude.”

The next scene starts out really disturbing when Miss Quad “she got it” pays her college friend, Reco Chapple a visit at his boutique. Quad closed the door on her adorable puppy, Chloe. After Reco calls her dogs… well dogs, Miss Quad sets it straight, ” We respect them and we always call them by their name, Reco.” After some banter, Quad asks Reco to be her fashion designer for her puppy couture line. Reco responds he would need to know what she is talking about, but offers his help in the end. Quad does an on-the-spot demand for some sketches. Reco being a “good Judy” jumps head first into Miss Quad’s new venture.

Mariah pays Dr. Simone an office visit to inquire about freezing her eggs. Dr. Simone advises her “friend” not to freeze her eggs, but to have a baby the old fashion way.  The conversation quickly switches to Quad (as usual) and babies. They both feel that a baby would be good for QuadMariah shows a sign of respect to Quad that her first pregnancy should be about her and no one else.  Then Dr. Simone brings up the hostility between Mariah and QuadMariah says in her TH Quad, is enjoying the attention, she’s now on the scene in Atlanta, she’s in the circle. I think she is getting caught up in the hype.” Dr. Simone suggests Mariah attend the WEN conference so that they can resolve their issues. Mariah isn’t committing to her attendance due to a referral for a hair specialist for her husband.

Quad next visits her attorney’s office for a potential investor for her puppy couture line.  Her potential investor is a familiar face from Shahs of Sunset, Donray.  Seems to go well, as Quad explains bedazzling on a high class fashion line for puppies.  As the business plan is explained one of her cute puppies walks right off the table falling to the floor and the investor is clearly mortified.

After Quad’s meeting the scene moves to Dr. Heavenly house where she’s starting the day by preparing breakfast. Heavenly is making bacon because you are supposed to “submit to your husband” as a woman. Heavenly needs to vent to her family about the rest of the ladies in the friend group. “Women forget their role as a wife!” But don’t get confused — she does not want to stay home!

Next we arrive at the WEN conference hosted by Lisa Nicole.  She doesn’t realize that the tranquility  is not universally felt throughout the room.   Still resentful, Tacky Toya still has issues with Dr. Simone. The drama starts immediately when Toya greets Dr. S by throwing shade. Toya  says, “How you doing today, no yelling?” Dr. Simone pretty much says I will talk to Toya when she gets a brain. This confrontation seems to continue even though Lisa Nicole tries to repair it at her event all about women empowerment. Toya feels that she told Dr. S should not grind on her husband and respect her request.  Still harboring this issue appeared very camera induced drama.  After a swift tongue lashing, Dr. S calls Toya dumb, and corrects her grammar after her read.

Tension then oozes over to a show of antics of almost over-acting, attention seeking behavior from Quad. Miss “She Got it” overhears Mariah telling Dr. Simone her version of what happened (at her last meeting) with QuadQuad jumps into the conversation after she can’t take hearing it anymore. Dr. S simply advises to meet with her more in private and not in public.  The STK incident draws in all the ladies as some try to make peace and some just stare as it turns into a shouting match in the tranquility room.  Mariah says when she arrived at STK, Quad had an entourage and that was no way to resolve their issues. Mariah feels when people are around Quad performs for an audience….she transforms! The yelling continues by Quad and the crocodile tears ensue. Quad says Mariah hurt her, and she’s a master-manipulator. Mariah rebuts she never  said that she made Quad relevant, she said that she gave her the platform. Mariah really feels she has been a good friend to Quad and she is putting on a show.
