Kenya Moore Finally Makes Statement On The Porsha Williams Savage Attack

Kenya Moore

Now that Bravo has aired part one of the three-episode RHOA reunion, the world got a chance to witness the violent attack on Kenya Moore by her co-star, Porsha Williams.

Kenya has been very tight lipped about the incident since it happened on March 27th. After Kenya’s 911 recording was made public, speculation surrounding the details ran rampant.

Kenya is now having her say, the former Miss USA released the following statement via email:

“During the taping of the Reunion Episode for the Real Housewives of Atlanta, I was violently attacked by Porsha Williams. The episode, which aired tonight, Sunday, April 20, 2014, was taped in front of an audience of over 50 people, which included cast, crew, guests and executives, who served as witnesses. I called 911 to report the incident. The Atlanta police conducted an independent investigation, which included viewing the raw footage of the incident. As a result, Porsha Williams was charged with battery. The authorities will decide her fate, not me.

There are many inflammatory statements made by cast members to and about each other particularly during the reunion tapings. Many have made untrue, denigrating, disparaging, and inflammatory statements against me in an attempt to provoke me, but I have never reacted in a violent way. My intellect and my brain are my most powerful weapons—not my fists. If people get so angry that they lose control and admittedly “black out” and resort to violence, those persons must be held responsible for their actions. Being a cast member on a reality show does not absolve people of their rights.

After being repeatedly attacked by an abusive boyfriend at the age of 17, if someone puts their hands on me, I will not just let it go. With that said, I sought self-defense training developed for the Israeli military. I’ve also been trained in weapons. I can take someone down in three moves. It took discipline for me not to respond in kind. As violent responses escalate, they can quickly result in severe injury or even death.

Being the second Black woman to be crowned Miss USA, there are little girls who look up to me. I would never want those girls, my nieces, or my future children to see me fighting anyone. That’s the lesson we should all want to send, especially to young people—that no matter how angry someone makes you feel by what they say to or about you, violence is never an option. #stoptheviolence”

Even her reaction to the event is far more adult than anything Porsha has said about the incident Rather than accept responsibility, Porsha is actually THANKING the rubes on twitter who are supporting her prison-yard behavior. I’m sure Bravo execs have to wonder what kind of audience Porsha brings with her — especially if they’re thinking about what they can sell to advertisers. I would have had a modicum of respect for her if she’d just say that she appreciates the support BUT it was wrong of her to have attacked another human being.

Excellent post!! Also think Andy needs to go – enough already!!

      • Marsbars09

        Hi Babs! ITA!

        • Babson_Chick

Hi there Mars!! We’ll probably never get rid of him – would like a better person to do the reunions – anyone would probably do a better job.

    • RonnieIsBack

Porsha is an idiot…Idiot is as Idiot does…

    • Birdie11

Prison yard is a perfect description.

  • RonnieIsBack

She always has a classy comeback..which is why they hate her….jealous bishes…
thanks for putting up a flattering picture. Kenya really is beautiful. Folks are just horrible..especially Moose and Gator.

    • Tre’s Felon Forehead

WHY would anyone be jealous of Kenya? The last time she was known was when she won a stupid beauty pageant 20+ years ago? She has never been married, has no children, lies, makes up stories about her life to make it seem better, has horrible skin and most of all a very ugly soul. Call me stupid but I don’t see how anyone could be jealous of HER

      • Marsbars09

        True dat TFF!

      • Tre’s Twits aren’t Angelic

The measure of someone’s success is what and how they live their life. It’s not whether they are married and have children. But if indeed they are and do, the manner in which the children represent being people of honorable character would be more positively measurable.

Teresa Giudice is a perfect example of demonstrating character that is pretty negative. And her children thus far seem to represent a relatively negative caricature of Teresa herself.

I find her statement untrue on all levels. Kenya started hitting below the belt. I also remember her wanting to attack Porsche last year on vacation. Its also funny to me that only after it was pointed out on the previous reunion, she nows claims she was the second Miss whatever.lol once again we read she takes no respinsibilty for bringing the props to provoke her castmates. A person that can debate doesnt need any props at all. My gut tells me that if the network keeps her, they will end up regretting it.

    • Tre’s Twits aren’t Angelic

Harmony, it’s a freak show. Why are you surprised?
And Bravo kept Teresa Giudice. Now that is a much bigger train wreck decision than Kenya, any way that one looks at this.

  • WestCoastFeed

Good for Kenya. Excellent and reasonable response to the incident. It is now in the hands of the authorities. I hope Porsha calls on her heritage and issues a simple and sincere apology that would make her grandfather proud of her,

  • Birdie11

Good for her…brains always shine a glaring light on STUPID. The big argument about props and provocation is so ridiculous. The dollar store scepter and batteries falling out bullhorn didn’t yank anyone to the floor, or even came close to touching Porsha. Provocation and taunting is not illegal…only simple people who behave like animals take the bait.

  • Babson_Chick

O/T On HLN right now story about Teresa.

  • italiano bambino

I black out no you knew what you wanted todo to Kenya.

    • WestCoastFeed

And Kenya stayed classy and stood up and walked calmly away.

      • murlut

But the clue was not one of the women went to see how she was, they all flocked around Porshe. Kind of speaks volumes

    • Tre’s Twits aren’t Angelic

I agree. If you listen to Porsha’s reactions to all of this, it’s obvious.

  • Bryan

There is no way this mental case wrote this, its as fake as her life

    • Tre’s Twits aren’t Angelic

Someone who is educated in higher learning can usually speak or write more simply as well as on a higher level of understanding.
I get it that you don’t like Kenya, but it’s really pretty rude to call her a mental case. But…in my way of thinking, everyone’s opinion is valid (even if I don’t agree with it).

      • Bryan

And you needed to tell me this why?

    • murlut

      I agree Bryan.

      • Bryan

Thank you!, one of the few people on here with any sense

  • Tre’s Felon Forehead

Bahahaha she is exaggerating about “all her training” because she got dragged across the floor. Does this woman EVER tell the truth?

    • Tre’s Twits aren’t Angelic

It appears that what Kenya may have done was to take her hand up to where Porsha put her hands on Kenya’s hair. This is done to minimize the amount of hair that is forcefully pulled from the head. It secures the attackers hands on the head and hair which is the correct thing to do when something happens so quickly and unexpectedly, as this incident occurred.
This is a technique that is learned.

  • Marsbars09

Kray is FOS. You mean to tell me with her martial arts training she could not have subdued Porsha?
Also, Kray lives to provoke people in getting them to physically strike her. She knew exactly what she was doing when she was taunting Porsha.

    • Tre’s Twits aren’t Angelic

Marsie, I don’t think you read what she said properly. Kenya chose to not react in kind to what Porsha did. Kenya basically attempted to minimize the degree of injury she was going to realize.
Most of these women live to provoke their cast mates to a degree of uncomfortable that is disgusting. They all know what they do when they do this.
This conspiracy of baiting that appears to have been arranged by Nene, Paekra and Porsha was taken too far by Porsha. Porsha was probably a pawn at the hands of N and Paekra.
Regardless of whether you do or don’t appreciate Kenya, what Porsha did was beyond acceptable.

      • Marsbars09

Hi Twits! I understand what you’re stating. I guess what I’m wondering is Kray was going to let Porsha beat on her without defending herself? If Kray would have done so she would have been in the right. We all have the right to protect ourselves.

        • murlut

I agree Mars, I think she set Porsha up knowing that Porsha was done with the BS and Kenya’s lies
Sorry but Kenya is TRASH. That’s why not one man on earth would marry her.

    • murlut

I agree. She came with the props to do just that. Hell, she has to outweigh Porsha by a good 50 lbs

  • glory

I agree that moose and gator(Nene and Phaedra) initiated the hold thing. There was no need for abuse toward Kenya, Porsha only did what she was told to do by Mouse and gator

  • TiTi

Fire Nene and as Wendy Williams says “get rid of Phaedra and Hubby(bad for Bravo)

  • murlut

Kenya has threatened and bullied Porsha all year. She is a hateful person and when is bullying ok. She lies and twists the truth. Put in front of a jury, I think Kenya will lose. She should learn to quit lying and tell the truth. I would have made that blow horn a new appendage of hers.. No one will get in my face with any prop.
