Joe Guidice CourtConvicted felon and househusband on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Joe Giudice was scheduled to appear in court on Jan 13 to face state DMV charges. A new court date of  June 2 is on the docket for the Superior Court in Paterson, New Jersey.

Joe is facing charges of identity fraud. He walked into a DMV office, presented false identification (his brother’s) to obtain a driver’s license while his own license was suspended.

Don’t expect Joe’s trial to start on June 2nd. The new date will likely be another status conference to set a trial date and file motions.

Joe’s attorney, Miles Feinstein, said that he does not expect the case to go to trial or be resolved through a plea deal until Joe Giudice is sentenced in early July in federal court.

Joe and his wife Teresa, pleaded guilty to several felony fraud charges and is currently scheduled to be sentenced on the federal charges on July 8th.

The constant delays are due to calendar conflicts of  Joe’s attorney, Miles Feinstein, who is currently preoccupied with an upcoming murder case.

Now that Joe is a convicted felon from the federal fraud case, that will be taken into consideration in the sentencing phase of the DMV case. If convicted of the DMV charges, Joe could face up to 10 years in prison.
