The ladies of Real Housewives of New York, are intent on making season 6 the most talked about season to date. All About The Tea recently had an exclusive interview with Real Housewives of New Yorkentrepreneur, author and national spokesperson for  One Step Ahead, Aviva Drescher. Aviva is a multi-faceted woman and very charming. She discussed her new memoir, the infamous bookgate, friendships with Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer.

You’re a wife, a mother, accomplished author, spokesperson for One Step Ahead and entrepreneur. How do you wear so many hats and manage it all?

Aviva: I take life one day at a time, I probably don’t do everything well but I do the best I can.  I am busy, I have 4 kids, my book came out and I have natural supplement called Tranquil Day, coming out at the end of April, which helps fight stress and achieve balance.

In your memoir, Leggy Blonde, you bravely expose personal matters, from the loss of your leg at six to the ups and downs in your previous relationships. Was it hard for you to open up about such personal matters?

Aviva: I’ve always been a very open person, thats why I’m on a reality show. I always live life with honesty and openness. My choice is to be raw, honest and motivated by truth. I’m passionate about my life. Harry cooperated and was generous to me regarding my book.

There has been a lot discussion in the preview clips about Carol using a ghost writer. Can you elaborate on that? Do you and Carol currently have any sort of friendship?

Aviva: It’s a two-way street, Carole brought it up, she asked “Did you hire a writer,” I said no…I didn’t hire a ghostwriter. Then I reciprocated the question. I don’t understand why, she can ask me but I can’t ask her. She was insulted I asked the same question.

The New York Daily News recently reported that Heather Thomson said you’re her least favorite cast mate. Why is she so mean towards you?

Aviva: Heather latches onto Carole vigorously this season, so when Carole and I get into a squabble, Heather inserts herself as Carole’s bodyguard. She feels as though I assaulted Carole’s career. I think Carole’s career stands on its own and is strong irrespective of who may or may not help with her writing. They give me way too much power.

When last season ended there didn’t appear to be any bad blood between you and Heather. Where is all her animosity coming from?

Aviva: Carole and Heather went into season 6 with an agenda and  targeted me. They had to amp up their game and I was an easy target.  Sonja, on the other hand is compassionate, sees me as down and out and tries help the underdog. She behaves with such decency.

After watching the first episode, fans were shocked to witness the “gang up” on Aviva campaign in full effect. Was that hard to watch?

Aviva: I felt it [the gang up] while filming. I felt like I had a piece of paper on my back that said “kick me.” However, I have thick skin due to my life experiences and I’ve become bullet proof. Walking into school the first day after my accident in 2nd grade was tough. Walking into a reality TV show with some NYC  nasty women pales in comparison. I always keep the perspective that this show is a small piece of entertainment. If I can inspire people by what I’ve overcome then I’m happy. Some cast mates take themselves too seriously and others understand it’s entertainment. My showcasing my disability is not confined to the physical. Disability can be emotional, familial, or financial.  My life has spanned the gamut of all of that…I like to share my imperfections and mistakes with others as well as my successes. Perfection is boring.

Last season ended with you and Ramona in a bad place. Do you and Ramona currently have a friendship?

Aviva: Yes, we do.

Did you become closer with any housewife this season?

Aviva: I got closer to LuAnn, Sonja and Ramona

Since joining the cast, what have you learned/ gained from this type of show?

Aviva: I love having a front row seat and backstage pass to pop culture. On a personal note, I’ve had many doors open which has been fulfilling. The most gratifying gain from the TV platform are the relationships I’ve made with loads of new people particularly those facing adversity.

Does your cousin Fran watch the show?

Aviva: From time to time she watches and she’s very supportive.

Do you have projects coming up that we can look forward to?

Aviva: Working with amputees more. I have a goal of going to Washington to lobby to  insurance companies to pay for more prosthetics.

Do you have any parting words for your fans?

Aviva: Watch and enjoy the show!
