RHONY: Kristen Taekman Says She Has Nothing to Hide

RHONY

Kristen Taekman, newcomer to The Real Housewives of New York crew is a model, mother and business woman, Kristen was brought into the fold thanks to her long friendship with Brandi Glanville, who introduced Kristen to Andy Cohen.

She’s set to step out of her friend’s shadow with the new season of RHONY. And she’s ready for her close-up—even though she didn’t do much to prepare for the show. Kristen did an interview with Bravo and here’s what’s on her mind:

“And I don’t know if that’s good or bad,” she tells the Dish. “I have nothing to hide. I feel like if I’m hiding stuff, you’re hiding insane stuff, and I’m not.”

When asked if she watched the show prior to joining the cast, here’s what she had to say:

“I mean, I watched, but not, like, every episode,” she says. “I watched for Heather Thomson, because she’s a friend, and Beverly Hills, because of Brandi. But I have two small kids and I don’t really get to watch much TV. And I think that’s a good thing! I wanted to come in fresh.”

Now that the show is complete and airing now, Kristen says she’s made some strong bonds with the other women. Especially Carole Radziwill. “We just had dinner together a few nights ago!” she says. “And we have a ton of mutual friends. I went to her book launch party with my husband Josh and there were 12 of our really good friends there, too. It’s crazy how everyone knows everyone in New York City.”

She might not be as enthusiastic about her relationship with Ramona Singer, however. “Once she got to know me a little bit, it got easier,” Kristen says. “But you obviously see that she’s hesitant, like, ‘Who the hell is this new girl?'”

Even with her spot on RHONY, Kristen is continuing to pursue her original career of modeling.  “Modeling is the best job for a mom,” she says. “You don’t have to work every day, but when you do, you work for a few hours and get your hair and makeup done. It’s way more glamorous.”

Am hoping she’s halfway normal!!! Romoana still gets old quickly.

    • Dr Seuss

She seems fairly normal so far, maybe a little full of herself but normal.

      Morning Babs!

      • Babson_Chick

Good Morning to you Doc!! Still haven’t watched all of this. Just read an interview that Juan P gave People mag. I thought he wanted privacy 100%.

I enjoyed the show last nite

Aviva and her father are both disgusting. George is nothing short of a pervert
They have some unnatural sexual conversations

    • cutie pie

shocked they filmed george again. he begs for sex…this guy must’ve had so much pity sex in his life it’s pathetic. it seems to work for him.

      • SAMRA1116

He paid one way or another for that pity sex. They both look like horses in the face. But Aviva and her husband are rude, he called Romona/Sonja, old fat women last season. They do some crazy things, but the both look good and they are definitely not fat.. George is too much–Aviva is too needy.

        • cutie pie

aviva gets crazy when she gets angry. her dad is a creep. I didn’t catch what aviva’s hubs said about ramona and sonja…interesting…

  • Birdie11

I have no opinion of this one yet. However, that she’s close to Brandi is a red flag. I still can’t stand Aviva and her perv father.

Why is Ramona mad at Aviva? And what is this twitter war that I am seeing on the right-hand margin all about? I guess you can tell I am not a NY watcher.

    • cutie pie

aviva behaved like a loud mouthed, crazed, harridan last seaon and attacked romona and sonja. at first aviva and ramona got along, then aviva goes all psycho on her.

from what I see in the previews, it looks as tho aviva let’s loose again on other targets. she’s scary when she gets going.

      • WestCoastFeed

Thanks. This twitter war is intriguing. Carole and Heather against Aviva for some reason.

        • cutie pie

really?…going to have to check it out…

here is a radar article…heather and carole are keeping their distance from aviva. you should try to watch just the last few episodes from last season to get an idea of how far aviva goes.

Thanks, cutie pie. That helps. I’ll try NY again and see if it can interest me this year. I had hopes when Carole joined that things would pick up, but it just seemed to be the same old stuff.

I only watch ny and bh. I like ny because the women get ny cosmetic work done. just enough. they don’t try to look 25 forever. at least so far. I think they’re more realistic looking.
